🌿☀ SUMMER WALK TO THE EVERGREEN BRICK WORKS & MARKET ☀🌿

🌿☀ SUMMER WALK TO THE EVERGREEN BRICK WORKS & MARKET ☀🌿

Sat, Jun 27, 3:00 PM
From Toronto Movies & Social Group - Celebrating 14 Years!
4.7

🌿☀ SUMMER WALK TO THE EVERGREEN BRICK WORKS & MARKET ☀🌿 Ravine Trails, Outdoor Market & One of Toronto’s Best Skyline Lookout Spots Summer is the perfect time to explore some of Toronto’s hidden green spaces — and few places feel as unique as Evergreen Brick Works. Join us for a relaxed social walk from St. Clair down through the ravine trails toward the Brick Works, where nature, history, community, and city views all come together. Even though you’re still in Toronto, parts of this walk feel surprisingly peaceful — shaded forest paths, creeks, birds, hidden trails, and eventually the old industrial buildings of the Brick Works opening up in the middle of the valley. And in the summer? The whole place comes alive. 📲 **Join Our WhatsApp Group:**[ Click here to join](https://chat.whatsapp.com/DRFTkxRlHS4B3IL1lMleUd) *** 🚶‍♂ What We’ll Do: We’ll begin at St. Clair Station and walk down through the ravine system toward the Brick Works together. Once there, we’ll: 🌿 Explore the outdoor market ☕ Grab drinks, snacks, or lunch 🛍 Browse local vendors and shops 😊 Sit, relax, and socialize for a bit Afterward, we’ll continue the adventure by walking up to one of the nearby lookout spots for beautiful skyline and valley views. 📞🌆 Then we’ll slowly make our way back together. And if at any point you feel tired or want to head home early, buses run directly from the Brick Works to nearby subway stations — easy and flexible. *** 🌀 Weather & Expectations This event happens rain or shine. Please come prepared for: ✔ Outdoor walking trails ✔ Some hills and stair sections ✔ Warm summer weather ✔ A longer walk at a relaxed pace This is more of a social nature walk than a fast-paced hike. *** 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 Meetup Location: We will meet outside St. Clair Subway Station in front of the McDonald's — look for Mathew in his iconic Moose Hat 🫎 ⏰ Meetup Time: 11:00 AM I will only wait 5 minutes. Early is on time. On time is late. 🏁 Ending Spot: Yonge & St. Clair *** 🎟 Meetup Fee: $5 cash in person or e-transfer to 📧 **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This fee helps support the group and allows us to continue hosting events like this. Thank you for supporting community! 💖 *** 🎒 What to Bring 💧 Water 👟 Comfortable walking shoes ☀ Sunscreen 🧢 Hat or sunglasses 🥚 A snack if you’d like Guests are welcome! *** 🌿 More About the Brick Works From 1889 to the 1980s, the Don Valley Brick Works was one of Canada’s most important brick manufacturing sites, helping build much of Toronto itself. Today, the restored site has become one of the city’s most beloved urban nature spaces — combining historic industrial buildings, markets, trails, gardens, and environmental spaces all in one place. It’s one of those Toronto spots that people always seem surprised they didn’t discover sooner. *** 🌈 Who Is This For? This group is open to anyone who wants to be social and make friends — whether single or not. We also host: 🎬 Movies 🚶 Walks & hikes 🎭 Arts & culture outings 🍜 Restaurant gatherings There’s always something happening. *** 💛 REMEMBER: You can just show up — or decide on the day if you’re not 100% sure. ⚠ NOTE: Sometimes things happen and plans may change — please keep an eye out for updates. *** 👀 Organizer: Mathew Questions? Post on the event wall or email 📧 torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com Come for the trails. Stay for the market. Leave feeling like you escaped the city for a few hours without ever leaving Toronto. 🌿✚

VRTO 2026 - Spatial Media World Conference & Expo

VRTO 2026 - Spatial Media World Conference & Expo

Wed, Jun 24, 2:00 PM
From VRTO ( Virtual Reality Toronto ) #VRToronto
4.6

VRTO returns to the heart of Toronto this summer, with amazing events including Video Games Month, FIFA, and many other incredible opportunities to meet folks and level up. What VRTO does best is bring you face-to-face with the doers, designers, makers, outside-the-box thinkers, and opportunities. With a third day added to the 2026 schedule, you can pick up a full conference pass or a 1-day pass for any of the three days. Or if you are more interested in the exhibits, a casual roam, and socializing, consider the economical wristband pass, which also gives you access to the second stage, where you will find interesting and actionable presentations on a variety of topics. Whatever the case may be, we love to see the whole community come together from near and far to exchange the latest on all things related to the new spatial media. This includes virtual production, avatars and virtual embodiment, generative AI and pair programming discussions from all sides, pedagogy and enterprise training, game and experience development, virtual and augmented reality, volumetric capture, and much more. There are few shows as dedicated to these specialized disciplines as VRTO, and you can enjoy it at an easy-to-reach central location. This event is presented here for community interest and meetup purposes. A ticket to the event must be purchased to gain [admission at Eventbrite](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/vrto-2026-spatial-media-world-conference-expo-tickets-1981067584474?aff=ebdsoporgprofile) All the info you need will be posted at https://conference.virtualreality.to, and we can't wait to see you at this very special event.
