Crother Woods hike and Evergreen Brickworks visit (Free or Paid event)

Join us for a relaxed hike through the beautiful Crothers Woods trail system, followed by a visit to Evergreen Brick Works. This is a great opportunity to enjoy nature, get some exercise, and meet new people in a friendly, welcoming group. We'll hike at a comfortable pace with stops along the way to enjoy the scenery and chat. We will stop at Evergreen Brick Works (for a short break), where you can grab a coffee or snack, explore the market and gardens, or simply relax with the group. This is the inaugural meeting of the Luddite Society of Toronto. A group that seeks to fight for a future where we can live as human beings, not just as consumers of digital "content". Resisting the agenda of the most powerful, wealthy, and influential industry in the world is not easy. And it is not something any of us can do on our own. It is only by working together that we have a chance to make a change. This initial meeting will deal primarily with three discussion topics: 1. How to fight back against big tech's narrative of an "inevitable" digital future 2. How to cultivate healthier digital media consumption habits 3. How to engage with non-digital forms of art, craft, and entertainment All are welcome!
