\*\*Mweep Mweep!\*\*━━ or is it Beep Beep? We are a growing community of cyclists who enjoy exploring Southern California on two wheels with friends. Our rides range from leisurely social outings to challenging, high-intensity adventures and we welcome guests on all our rides. The **Black Folk™ RoadRunners Bike Group** meet every 1st Saturday morning for rides of varying difficulty, starting from various locations in and around the Los Angeles area. We also administer and record Century Challenge rides, where cyclists can test themselves on 100-mile routes. Many of our rides take place on roads and trails less traveled and our calendar also contains special rides and events, highlighted by our signature ride, *The Black Tour*, in late February. This fully supported 24-hour event includes options for Double Century, Triple, and Quad rides. Throughout the year, we challenge cyclists with other featured rides, and our social events help us replenish the calories we burn while riding. Guests and Out-of-town cyclists are welcome on every ride. ***ATTENTION, THE CLOCKS CHANGE AT 2 AM, DON'T FORGET!!*** ***\- Thanks\, Daylight Saving Time\.\.\.*** PLEASE join us for a fun little trek through the Hollywood Hills and a FREE car show! The Best of France & Italy ([http://www.franceanditaly.com](http://www.franceanditaly.com)) is a great little gathering of autos specializing in European transportation & vehicles. It's held at Woodley Park in Lake Balboa, which hosts numerous events throughout the year, like car exhibits, carnivals, and even dog shows. The only fee is to enter a vehicle for judging at the event (probably none of us). However, attending, walking around the park, and looking at the cars is totally free. It should be a blast, and the price is right—Citroëns and Alfa Romeos as far as the eye can see! **Brief Ride Description:** This ride will take us all on a tour of several neighborhoods in and around the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Beverly Glen, Bel Air, and Encino. We'll end up at the show and swap meet. Along the route, we will surely see many of the largest and most amazing homes in our area and witness some of the best views to be had in the middle of Los Angeles; vistas from the Westside to Downtown, as well as the San Fernando Valley. Itinerary: (\*MEETUP IS EARLIER TO TRY AND ARRIVE AT EVENT AROUND NOON\*) We will meet up in Valley Village at Gelson's at 8:30 a.m. Gather and chat, allowing time for stragglers to arrive. If you would like to grab a coffee or snack from the coffee shop in that shopping center or something from Gelson's, please be sure to arrive with ample time to do so. Then we will do the pre-ride chat at around 9:00 a.m., with the approximate departure from Gelson's at 9:15 a.m. Route Description: PLEASE ARRIVE WITH ENOUGH FUEL FOR THE RIDE, NO GAS STOP!!! (\~30-35 miles) We'll head up Laurel Canyon to Mulholland and over past the Hollywood sign, then back to Mulholland and over to Coldwater Canyon. We will make a quick stop for a stretch at the Virginia Robinson Garden, then we will get back on the road. ALL SCOOTERS WELCOME. Please note that the route includes difficult terrain, sharp curves, and occasional road hazards. We'll keep the pace brisk but fairly easygoing, though, and make stops when sensible and necessary. This is a more scenic, enjoyable cruise, but it's not suitable for beginners. Experience in canyons and riding Mulholland Drive is recommended. Please do not ride with a passenger unless you have the experience and equipment to do so. While we will be riding in the daylight, there may be temperature changes along the route in the canyons. The Night Skate - Downtown Los Angeles

Distance: We skate about 10 miles or more through Downtown Los Angeles. Difficulty: This group isn’t for beginners, but you don’t have to be a pro. We skate in the streets with traffic and go up and down hills often, so if you’re comfortable with those things, then you should be fine. Always a group of 30+, approaching 50+ during the most active months. (the goal is 200+ people at the anniversary skate in July) Announcement will be made if we are not skating for any reason, otherwise we are there EVERY week! Parking - We park at The Geffen at Moca. Its free after 7pm, otherwise it’s ~$7. The entrance is off of Judge John Aiso Street and isn’t easy to see, so dont feel bad if you can’t find it right away.
