Beginner Spanish Classes (In-Person)

**In this class, we will explore the Spanish language through 8 modules. We will cover basic concepts which you need to know in any Spanish-speaking country, and we will begin speaking right away and practicing in groups by module 3.** **The goal is that you gain a basic understanding of the language. Weekly homework is required and active participation is encouraged.** **Note that these classes are not free. Please consider attending an information session on August 19th or August 26th to learn more about the structure and how you can be part of this learning community.** Classes will be held in-person at Mississauga Valley Community Centre from 5:30pm to 6:30pm weekly.

The classes are primarily oral-based through guided conversations. They will teach you how to handle conversations in situations such as **"Going to the Convenience Store"**, **"Making Plans"**, **"Negotiating Prices"**, and **"Going out for a Drink"**. Weekly Practice

Weekly on-water practice at Sunnyside. Start time is when the boat leaves the dock. Please allow extra time for traffic delays, changing, and warming up. Bring a towel and change of clothing.
