Join me this Sunday for a sightseeing hike through the Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz 🌱, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its English-style landscape parks and historic buildings 🏛️. **Route & Pace** We will hike a 9 km loop through the park. [This is the route we will follow.](https://www.komoot.com/tour/3266392176?ref=itd&share_token=afcDGzVyHQco5AYnTjuZyX2fDEz4AH2lSZESNXr6qBU6d6qpM5&ref=its&t_s=referral&t_cid=route_share&t_ref_username=6156612270392) The pace will be brisk through the forested sections, with dedicated 2-5 minutes photo stops at the major buildings and landmarks along the trail. **Schedule** * **Morning:** We arrive at 10:40 AM and start the trail. We will take one ~10-minute restroom stop early in the route. * **Lunch:** Halfway through, we will take a 45-minute break at the Gothic House for a picnic. **Bring your own food and drinks.** * **Remainder of the day:** We will hike for about 1 hour, then have about 2.5 hours of free time at the Gondola Station. You can use this time to purchase a boat tour ticket, visit the castle interiors, or get coffee. Everyone meets at the market square at 16:45 to take the 15-minute walk back to Wörlitz Station. **Travel Connections** * **Outbound:** Take the RE7 train departing Berlin-Charlottenburg at 08:20. We transfer at Dessau Hbf and arrive in Wörlitz at 10:40. Participants are fully responsible for their own expenses, pacing, personal safety, and keeping track of the schedule. Feel free to join, break away, or move at your own pace whenever you like. You can leave or stay longer on your own accord. **Communication** Please use Meetup messages to contact me on the day of the hike. ***A €5 cash donation per person is collected on-site to cover Meetup subscription fees and support future events 🫶🏻.***

From Berlin Walks, Hikes, Trips, Yoga and more

Looking for a fun way to get stronger, improve your fitness and meet new people? Join me on Wednesday at 7:00 pm for a free beginner-friendly outdoor bodyweight training class. Whether you've never exercised before or you're looking for a new challenge, this class is designed to help you build strength and confidence at your own pace. Hi, I'm Maroof 👋 I've been practicing calisthenics for over six years and one of the things I love most about it is that it brings people together. Watching people achieve movements they never thought possible, whether it's their first push-up, their first pull-up or their first handstand, is incredibly rewarding. What to expect Each session includes a guided warm-up, beginner-friendly strength exercises using your bodyweight, progressions for pushing, pulling, squatting and core strength, optional introductions to calisthenics skills as you progress and a fun team game at the end (with a small prize for the winners 😁) Every exercise has easier and harder variations so you can work at a level that suits you. There is no pressure to keep up with anyone else. Who is this for? ✅ Complete beginners ✅ Anyone wanting to get stronger using bodyweight exercises ✅ People looking for a friendly outdoor fitness community ✅ Anyone curious about calisthenics You do not need to be able to do a pull-up, push-up or any advanced movements before joining. Many people come on their own so don't worry if you won't know anyone. The class is welcoming, supportive and a great place to meet like-minded people. What to bring Comfortable workout clothes, water and positive attitude. Price: Free. This is a recurring class every other Wednesday unless otherwise stated. Disclaimer By attending, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety while participating. If you plan to come, please RSVP so I know how many people to expect. If your plans change, I'd appreciate it if you could update your RSVP. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch!

Hi everyone! 🌿🥾 This time, we’re heading out for a **longer hike around the beautiful Werbellinsee**, north of Berlin. Expect a full day surrounded by nature, walking along forest paths and around the lake — a great chance to leave the city behind, enjoy the fresh air, and spend the day outdoors together. 📍 **Meeting point:** Ostkreuz Station, platform 14, I'll be wearing a pink cap 📅 **Sunday, September 13** ⏰ **Meeting time:** 8:30 am 🚆 **Train departure:** 8:41 am We’ll travel together to Eberswalde, change trains there, and continue to **Joachimsthal Kaiserbahnhof**, arriving at around 9:55 am. 🥾 **The hike:** The route will take approximately **7 hours**. We’ll start and finish in Joachimsthal and spend most of the day walking through the forest and along the lake. This hike is all about **nature, movement, fresh air, and good company** — there won’t be much sightseeing or historical stops along the way (apart from an old tower!). 🧺 **Picnic break:** Around halfway through the hike, we’ll find a nice spot in nature for a relaxed picnic together. I’ll bring a blanket! Please bring enough **food, snacks, and water/drinks** to keep yourself energized and hydrated throughout the day. 👟 **What to bring:** Please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes suitable for a long hike and dress according to the weather. Since we’ll be outdoors for most of the day, come prepared for a proper day in nature. 🚆 **Getting back:** Trains from Joachimsthal back towards Berlin depart at **5:10 pm and 6:11 pm**, so we’ll aim to finish in time for one of these connections. Everyone who feels comfortable with a longer day of walking is very welcome to join. 🌲 Whether you come on your own or with someone else, we’re looking forward to exploring Werbellinsee together and enjoying a beautiful day away from the city! See you on the trail! 🌿

Meetup is a useful tool for discovering hiking groups, but the quality and frequency of events depend on local organizers. Reviews and testimonials are good resources to judge a group's reliability.
