No commercial host, just members of the group meeting up to enjoy the route. Weekly Hikes at Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park

A Friday at 3;00 PM moderate hike in addition to our regular Wednesday hikes at Redwood Park. If you are having trouble with the Meetup App switch to the website. There is no subscription (fees) requirement to join our group hikes. This is a 7 mile, 1000 feet elevation, moderate pace hike at Oakland's Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park. Enter from Redwood Gate https://goo.gl/maps/PrGuttC8dEnxN1KC9 We meet at Fishway Lot (the first parking lot on the left). Fishway is a small, unpaved lot on the left, closest to the entrance gate. Parking is free and there are 4 parking lots. At 3:00 pm we start with a meet and greet; and each person gets to share 1 - 2 things that made them happy this week. Please be on time and get to know your new friends during the hike. We leave for the hike at 3:05pm. Route to be determined day of the hike. Hike is about 3 hours. We stop at most trail intersections along the hike to regroup. Please make sure to bring enough water and clothes and respect for everyone and nature. Tomales Point Trail (easy-mid, 9mi, 1000 ft gain)

Join us for a moderate hike at Pt. Reyes' Tomales Point Trail where you can whale watch and view elk. This hike will be about 10 miles and should take about 3.5-4 hours. Elevation gain is only 1200ft, so this is an easy-intermediate level hike. The route is fully exposed and sandy in large sections. No Hurry, No Worry Weekly Wednesday Hikes at Redwood Regional Park 4:30 pm

Join us for a weekly easy/moderate no hurry no worry afternoon hike in the redwood regional park. 🌿 Yoga & Hike at Redwood Regional Park Join us for an evening of movement, mindfulness, nature, and connection. We'll gather at 4:30 PM on the grassy area across from Canyon Meadow Parking Lot for a casual meet-and-greet. Everyone is invited to introduce themselves and share one or two things that brought them joy this week before we welcome our yoga instructor for the day. We'll begin with a gentle introduction to standing yoga poses and mindful movement. No yoga mat is needed—just wear comfortable clothing and bring layers for the hike afterward. The session is designed to be welcoming for all experience levels. We're delighted to have Sheena guiding our yoga practice. Community contributions help fairly compensate our instructor for sharing her time and expertise and make it possible to continue offering wellness experiences like these in the future. Exploring Patagonia: An Introductory Guide to Traveling in Torres del Paine

Join us for an informative and inspiring presentation all about Chile's Torres del Paine, one of the most breathtaking national parks in Patagonia! Whether you're planning your first trip or just curious about what it takes to explore this stunning region, this session will cover everything you need to know about traveling to this iconic part of the world. I'll be drawing from my own Torres del Paine adventure from 2023 to discuss practical details like logistics, safety, and main things to keep in mind when going on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The presentation itself will be 30-40 minutes, after which we'll have a casual Q&A session for anything anyone wants to cover and chat for a while. Join and share some of your own travel stories! (Would love to hear from people who've done Camino de Santiago, the Pacific Crest Trail, Hornbjarg in Iceland, etc.) Anyone is welcome, but please note that - given the limited space - this event is geared mainly for people who are actively interested in these kinds of travels and would benefit the most from the information shared. Presidio Crossover Loop Hike - 7.5 miles, 1000 ft elev

We will be doing a moderate level urban loop hike exploring the many different areas of the Presidio Park in San Francisco. The trek will involve ascending 1,000 feet over 7.5 miles. **This hike is for INTERMEDIATE HIKERS only.** There will not be a sweep, so you will be responsible for keeping up with the group. The planned route offers many unique views of the Presidio, including the Pacific coastline, Marshall’s Beach, the Golden Gate Bridge, the National Cemetery, military installations, artworks of Andy Goldsworthy, ecological trails, scenic overlooks, as well as the natural flora and fauna of the park. It is highly likely that we will go for drinks and/or food at a local bar after the hike, somewhere near the ending point. **THIS EVENT HAS A WAITLIST. DO NOT SHOW UP FOR IT UNLESS YOU HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL SAYING YOU CAN ATTEND. NO CRASHERS AND NO PLUS ONES ARE PERMITTED.** We **meet at 10:00 am** in Mountain Lake Park Playground (at 12th Avenue and Lake Street) and **depart promptly at 10:15 am**. We begin the trek by heading northwest around Mountain Lake to the Cemetery Overlook Path. Continuing northwest, we will take in magnificent views of the Pacific ocean and Golden Gate Bridge as we navigate the steps of the Batteries to Bluffs trail. Next, we head southeast through Fort Winfield Scott, passing the National Cemetery overlook and the Goldworthy's Spire on our way to the Lower Ecology Trail. We will take a break at Paul Goode Field where we can enjoy lunch and conversation with our fellow hikers. There is a good restroom here as well. Afterwards, we will continue to the eastern edge of the park to hike along Goldworthy's Wood Line art installation and the historic Lovers Lane that once connected members of the military with their loved ones. Finally, we turn south to hike along the Upper Ecology Trail and then west along the Mountain Lake Trail to our starting point at Mountain Lake Playground. Bring plenty of water, snacks and lunch. Pets: Although dogs are allowed in most areas of the Presidio, they are not permitted on the Batteries to Bluffs portion of this hike.
