TO BOOK PLEASE CLICK HERE https://www.eurocycleadventures.com/bookandpayment/p/ukdaytrip We have some amazing rides planned for 2026 (check them all out at https://www.eurocycleadventures.com/) and we have a nice short circular daytrip from Greenwich to come and try see what our rides are about! After meeting at Greenwich railway station, we cycle east joining onto Sustrans route 1 along the south-side of the river thames. It's a predominately off-road route once getting out of Greenwich up until Erith. In the second half of the ride we negotiate a few back streets before riding through Woolwhich common and Blackheath before reaching back to Greenwich. Along the way we will stop for snack breaks to get the energy levels back up :) The cycle ride ends in Greenwich where we aim to be back for a late lunch. It’s a fun day to be had and a great way to get out on the bike on a supported ride! Logistics: You will need to get to Greenwich train station for 10am. If you are driving, there is paid parking at Greenwich railway station. Total cycling distance: 33km Terrain and Elevation: Overall the route has a very good surface. It’s flat along the river and then some hills through Woolwich and Blackheath. This ride is suitable for competent beginners and intermediate cyclists. Only touring, hybrid and mountain bikes will be suitable. We recommend wide road tyres or off-road tyres. Surface and Waytypes: * 20% Gravel, 45% Paved, 35% Asphalt * 55% Cycleway, 30% B Road, 15% Single Track/ Path Highlights: * Enjoy the surronds of the least travel section of the Thames path * Ride through the peaceful surrounds of Woolwich common and black heath * Ride the underrated Ridgeays gravel path * End in Greenwich and join us for a drink in a local pub What to Bring: Water bottle, money for food and refreshments, snacks, all cycling equipment (bicycle, bike lock, compulsory bike helmet, cycle jacket, sunglasses, warm gloves and suitable activity footwear/clothing - no jeans please) What we bring for you: All repair equipment including pump, navigational tools, first aid spares, packed lunch and good vibes! Payment: £5 Important: Please ensure your bike is in good working order. Regular maintenance such as lubricating chain, checking tyre pressure and braking are strongly recommended. Also, whilst you can achieve extended distance on bike, please ensure you have adequate physical preparation for the ride. Regular cycling, gym sessions or other cardiovascular training is recommended. Please contact us for further advice if required See you there! Alex, Kelvin and James Eurocycle Adventures
