Sat, Sep 5, 6:30 PM**Escape from the blistering heat this Labor Day Weekend while disperse camping in Holcomb Valley, just a few miles north of Big Bear Lake. We’ll spend the entire weekend at about 8,000’ elevation, under relatively cool, pleasant conditions.** **Thank you, Kamil and Erika, for organizing this trip!!** **Once you set up camp you’re free to just chillax, go on a hike, or go search for gold, if your soul desires.** **We have room for just a few more vehicles that can join us.** **By signing up you represent one vehicle, the number of occupants in each vehicle doesn’t matter. Adults only, please.** **In general, we’ll be camping somewhere just off a forest service road, past Holcomb Valley Campground.** **Look at a map to see the general area where we’re talking about.** **If you would like to participate in this event please join the waitlist and we will provide you with more details later, including the exact coordinates of our campsite.** **Kamil and Erika will be scouting the area for potential campsites prior to the trip.** **>>>>Waitlist priority will be given to those who have camped with us in the past.** **Our plan for now is to meet at Holcomb Valley Campground at 1130 Saturday morning and we’ll caravan a few miles up the forest road to our pre-scouted and claimed campsite.** **If you have any questions, please comment below.**

carcamp/backpacking hot springs
Fri, Oct 9, 9:00 PMJoin me for a 3 day weekend where you can car camp, hike, backpack or just relax at the most popular campground in San Bernardino mountains. Hiking schedule: Friday 3 easy miles hike around the campground with option of potluck. Saturday hike or backpack to Deep Hot Springs 5 to 6 hard miles. Depending of the weather. Sunday 4.6 miles moderate to Arrowhead Pinnacles trail Monday drive back home. This event is limited to 8 people per day. Two cars per site with 3 tenths carpool is encourage. strong hikers/backpackers only. what to bring: We will share the camp fee so bring cash It will be $20 per night per person or $40 per the weekend per person. What your $ Includes: camp fee/holiday fee, campfire, and hot drink. Bring your own gear, drinking water, sun screen, hat, hiking sticks and food. If you are backpacking only you can meet us at the trail head out of the 173 Hwy. parking is free. We will hike about 2.5 miles to the hot springs. Spend the night and enjoy the hot springs. On Sunday we will come back after breakfast. (Will be edit later)

Join the coven for a Mabon camping retreat at Chilao Campground in the San Gabriel Mountains from Monday, September 21, to Tuesday, September 22, 2026. We will celebrate the harvest by campfire and hike into the depths of Devil's Canyon to welcome the Equinox sunrise. Cosmic & Astrological Forecast * **The Waxing Gibbous Moon (76% Illumination):** The Moon resides in **Aquarius**, bringing an air of visionary community connection and collaborative group magic. High in the eastern sky at sunset, it will bathe our base camp in brilliant light before setting a few hours before dawn. * **The Last Day of Virgo Season:** The Sun sits at the final 30th degree of Virgo on September 21, providing the ultimate grounding energy for our harvest gratitude. * **The Dark Sunrise Hike:** As the Aquarius Moon sets and the Sun crosses into Libra at dawn on September 22, we will experience a powerful, naturally dark window perfect for our silent dawn hike. Gathering Details * **When:** Monday, September 21 – Tuesday, September 22, 2026 * **Where:** Chilao Campground, Angeles National Forest (approx. 26 miles north of La Cañada on Angeles Crest Hwy) * **The Sunrise Ritual:** We will leave camp early on Tuesday morning (Sept 22) to hike the Devil's Canyon Trail. This single-track trail drops into a beautiful canyon of old-growth Douglas firs. **Note:** The return hike is a steep uphill climb, so save your energy for the ascent! What to Bring * **Hiking & Safety Essentials:** A reliable headlamp or flashlight for the pre-dawn descent, sturdy hiking boots with good tread, and layers to shed as the sun warms the canyon. * **Camping Gear:** Tent, warm sleeping bag, camp chair, and layers for the crisp 5,300-foot mountain night. * **Ritual & Feast:** An autumn harvest item to share for our Monday night Mabon potluck (apples, root veggies, squashes, or ciders), and your personal ritual tools. * **Practicalities:** Bring plenty of drinking water (water spigots are intermittent at camp, and there is no potable water at the trailhead), cash for the self-pay site fee, and a National Forest Adventure Pass to park at the Devil's Canyon Trailhead.

Car Camp/hotsprings
Sat, Oct 10, 2:00 AMJoin me for 3 day weekend where you can car camp, hike or backpack to the famous Deep Creek Hot springs. Dogwood camp ground is a popular Campground in the San Bernardino mountains. This event is limited to only 8 people and two cars per day and 3 tents on site. Hiking schedule: We are going to hike on Friday evening 3 miles loop around the Camground. This is easy. With the option of potluck. Saturday hike will be 5-6 hard miles to Deep Creek. We might backpack to Deep creek over night depending of the weather. Sunday we will hike to Arrowhead pinnacles Trail 4.6 miles this is rated moderate. If we’re not too tired, we can check out the town of Arrowhead. Monday will check out and head it back home. What to bring: own food and gear Carpool is encourage. Bring cash: we will share the camp fee reservation. $20 per night per person or $50 per the 3 days per person. What your $ covers: camp reservation fee and the holiday fee, campfire, & hot coco. Please sing up if you are sure you are coming. Everyone will be put on the waiting list first then will be chosen according to attendance. Priority to strong hikers/ backpackers. No respond or no comments will be drop automatically. This way will allow to others to join. You can join us for one night or two. Or backpack only. If you are backpacking only meet us at the trail head out of 173 highway. You can leave your car at Bradford Ridge path. This is the option 2 out of 3 to get there. “The Bradford Ridge Route (Free Alternative) Distance: About 5 to 6 miles round-trip. Access: Park near the end of CA Highway 173 (near Lake Arrowhead/Twin Peaks). You will climb over the guardrail to access the Bradford Ridge Path. Details: This route doesn't require a fee but involves a longer, more rigorous hike with about 1,400 feet of elevation gain. It requires crossing over into the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) before descending into the canyon. “ If you had read all the information go right ahead and sing up. Sun, Sep 13, 3:00 PMWestridge-Canyonback Loop hike Westridge-Canyonback Loop hike. 5 miles, 1100 feet elevation, 2.5 hours. Meet at Upper Canyonback Trailhead at 8:00 AM near the eastern firegate. Join us for a moderately paced hike in LA’s “Big Wild.” We’ll head down Upper Canyonback trail, which features sweeping canyon views to the west and downtown LA to east, until we reach Mandeville Canyon. We’ll turn and come back up by way of Westridge Trail, passing by the old Nike missile tower and its panoramic views. Bring 2 liters water, snacks, sunblock, sturdy footwear, hat. No dogs. Heat Advisories, Watches and Warnings and Rain cancel the hike. At the trailhead, participants will need to sign a participation waiver, which can be reviewed ahead of time. Level: Moderate Cancellation Policy: Rain, red flag warnings, and heat advisories, watches, and warnings will cancel Trailhead address: Upper Canyonback Trailhead (17026 Mulholland Drive, Encino, CA 91436) Note: This is a provisional outing.
