Social Event - Movie & Dinner Night; We have organised a VIP Private Screening of the award winning movie; "500 DAYS IN THE WILD". The 2-hour documentary weaves together adventure, personal reflections, stunning wildlife, and human connection on the rigorous and beautiful TCT Trail, stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Coast, as well as the Arctic Ocean. 500 Days in the Wild dives deeply into both the physical and emotional travails of tackling an almost impossible adventure. 500 Days surprises with cinematic action, intimate experiences, and visual poetry. 500 Days In The Wild follows the epic 6-year journey of filmmaker Dianne Whelan as she sets out to reconnect with nature and become the first person to travel the world's longest trail. The 24,000 km Trans Canada Trail stretches across the continent of North America, connecting the Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific oceans. It is the longest trail in the world. For six years filmmaker Dianne Whelan traveled the entirety of the land and water trails, the only person to ever accomplish this journey. 500 Days (which is 12,000 hours) in the Wild recounts Dianne's journey by bike, canoe, skis, snowshoes and on foot and her cross-cultural visits with those who live close to the land. This feature doc culled from 800 hours of footage is an intricate weave of adventure film, personal reflection and stunning captures of wildlife and landscapes. Using humour, adventure, beautiful cinematography and a great soundtrack (including songs from Joni Mitchell, First Aid Kit, Xavier Rudd, and The Tragically Hip), 500 Days in the Wild will entertain audiences and inspire hope for the future. She started out alone, disillusioned with state of the world, to look for different ways of caring for the land and for each other. She ended the journey a bit wiser, more hopeful, in love and with a passion to share this story with you. This is an unforgettable journey and an unforgettable film. ⚽ **Want to kick off your Sunday the right way?** Looking to play futsal in Sydney? Say no more — we’ve got you covered! Join us **every Sunday at 10 AM** at South Eveleigh Sports Courts for fast-paced, good-vibes futsal. Whether you’re a seasoned baller or you’ve never touched a futsal ball before — if you love football, you’re one of us. We play on hard ground, so leave the spike boots at home (unless you enjoy sliding around like Bambi on ice ). *** **One golden rule:** Cancelling after **12 PM on Saturday** means you’re out for future games. If you say you’re coming, you’re coming. Why? Because commitment is the only “fee” we charge. No drama, no flakes — just good people and good football. If you’re cool with that, we’ll welcome you with open arms. Fair warning, though… Once you join, you’ll probably want to play every week. See you on Sunday! ⚽

The heart of this event is creating a space for writing that feels a little too vulnerable, strange or personal for a typical open mic. Bring a piece of writing you'd like to share. It could be a poem, song lyrics, story, letter or journal entry that you've wanted to share but haven't found the right space to share it. Maybe it's deeply personal. Maybe it's dark, funny, messy, intense or even embarrassing (bonus points for this one - lol) This is a space where the focus is on honesty. When you arrive, you'll place your writing into a hat. Everyone will draw a piece at random and read someone else's work aloud. Your words get to be heard without the pressure of standing up and claiming them as your own. You can remain anonymous for the entire event or we can reveal ourselves afterwards if we like! This is a chance for your words to be heard without any pressure of performing! This is a shared experience rather than a performance, so I'd love everyone who comes to participate. The idea is that we're all readers. writers and supporters of one another. I am currently looking for a cosy, private, indoor space, but until then we'll do it at the park!
