Walk and Shoot Paris #001

Walk and Shoot Paris #001

Fri, Jul 17, 1:00 PM
From Walk and Shoot #001 📸

Free Montmartre walking tour!

Free Montmartre walking tour!

Wed, Jul 15, 4:00 PM
From Paris-see Tours
4.9

**Free walking tour - tips welcomed!** Join Paris-see Tours for a playful wander through the cobbled streets of Montmartre, where windmills once turned, absinthe flowed, and Paris showed the world how to party. We’ll dive into the long-gone cabarets and buzzing nightlife that gave birth to Bohemia at the legendary Moulin Rouge, where scandal, can-can, and artists collided. Along the way, we’ll visit the former home of Vincent and Theo Van Gogh. You’ll discover what Montmartre looked like before Georges-Eugène Haussmann reshaped Paris with grand boulevards, hear the dramatic tale of the Paris Commune, and uncover why the Sacré-Cœur watches over the city from the hilltop. We’ll finish our adventure at the romantic Wall of Love, where “I love you” is written in over 250 languages — because after this tour, you just might fall in love with Montmartre too.

🥾 🌿 Let's go explore two islands on the Seine, west side. The first, Île Seguin, was long known to have housed the Renault factories until 1992. Since 2017, in place of the factories, the musical Seine was erected. We will continue in Billancourt streets where vestiges of the city’s industrial past still persist. Next we will cross the bridge to reach the Saint-Germain island. We will discover first a beautiful set of modern houses. Then we will continue through the different gardens of the island. We will finish by walking along the barges moored at the quay. And for those who have time, we can have lunch or a coffee together at Biltoki, Issy-les-Moulineaux’s recently renovated food market. 📌 INFO: · Level: Beginner (green) · Distance: 9 km · Duration: Around 2h30 · Starting point: Outside exit 4, subway Marcel Sembat, Line 9 · Finishing point: Issy-Val de Seine station, RER C and Tram 2. · Meeting time: 10:00 a.m. · Departure at: 10.10 a.m. Fee: 10 EUR (cash or with the app. Lydia at 0685237028) Hiking leader: Valérie, mobile: 06 85 23 70 28,[ ](http://intrepidhikersfr@gmail.com)email: [intrepidhikersfr@gmail.com](http://mailto:intrepidhikersfr@gmail.com) 🎒 WHAT TO BRING: · Water, · Umbrella or poncho, · Suitable clothing, · Comfortable shoes. Frequently asked questions

Foraging walks are guided tours where participants learn about edible plants, mushrooms, and herbs in their natural habitats. In Paris, these walks offer a unique way to connect with nature, discover local flora, and gain practical knowledge about sustainable foraging.

To find foraging events in Paris, use Meetup to search for groups and events dedicated to nature exploration. By joining a local foraging group, you'll get updates on all upcoming walks and be part of a community of nature enthusiasts.

Check Meetup for the latest schedule of foraging walks in Paris. You'll see which events are happening today or soon, allowing you to plan your nature adventure accordingly. Make sure to RSVP if you plan to join.
