Join us as we get together for the fun summertime tradition of live outdoor theater! For this event, we’ll be closing out Summer Movie Season by seeing The Actors’ Theatre of Columbus and their take on the Agatha Christie classic mystery, AND THEN THERE WERE NONE! Here are details and our plan for this event: DESCRIPTION: The Actors’ Theatre of Columbus will close the summer and mark the 50th anniversary of Agatha Christie’s death with this haunting mystery! Under the evening sky, ten strangers in a mansion start dying one by one. Will there be any survivors? One of the late author’s most foreboding tales and a masterpiece of dramatic construction, the growing sense of dread and unfaltering tension will keep you guessing to the very end. PARKING: Schiller Park is a beautiful little park located in the heart of historic German Village. Parking is available in the paved lot at the Schiller Recreation Center or on city streets surrounding the park. WHAT TO BRING: Definitely bring a lawn chair. Food and drinks are allowed (and encouraged). If you’re feeling festive, bring snacks and/or drinks to share and I’ll do the same! But wear 'em if you got 'em and it'll help make the group easier to find! PLAN: Arrive starting by 7pm (the earlier the better) and the performance will begin at 8pm. I’ll try to be there a little early, by 6:45pm. Be sure to bring a lawn chair and you’ll find the group behind the walkway (to the right as you face the stage). You should be able to find us but I’ll wear my CMG shirt and/or have a sign to help you recognize the group! Performances are FREE and donations will be accepted during the intermission. Located close to Franklin Park Conservatory, this will be a nice place to get a bite to eat. Opportunity to gather post-meeting, tell stories (mostly lies), ask questions about burning photography/post-production issues, and ponder the future of our country and planet. Oh, and food... Location and time to be determined based on the specifics of the shoot immediately preceding this event.

Loony Thursday: COYOTE VS ACME at Lennox Phoenix Theater!

Join us as we get together to see the live-action animated legal comedy, COYOTE VS ACME! The film follows Wile E. Coyote as he enlists a billboard attorney to sue the Acme Corporation for repeatedly selling him faulty products. Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event: DESCRIPTION: After every product made by the Acme Corporation has backfired on Wile E. Coyote in his pursuit of the Road Runner, down-and-out human billboard attorney represents Wile E. in a lawsuit against Acme. The film is directed by Dave Green and stars Will Forte, Lana Condor, Luis Guzmán, P.J. Byrne, Kenneth Choi and John Cena. TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iu-4SgTw73M COYOTE VS ACME’S LONG WAY TO THE THEATER: The film is based on the 1990 The New Yorker magazine article "Coyote v. Acme" by Ian Frazier. Development for the film began in 2018, it was filmed in 2022 and scheduled for a 2023 release! But, after completion, Warner Brothers decided to shelve it for a tax write-off! Yikes! But, public backlash and demand caused a change of heart. It was made available for other distributors and a smaller company (Ketchup Entertainment) acquired the film and is releasing it to theaters! It screened it to positive reviews at this year’s Comic-Con and on September 3rd it makes its way to the CMG Calendar! PLAN: We’ll plan for a 7pm-ish showing and will meet in the lobby area about 30 minutes before showtime. Once showtime is confirmed, advance ticket purchase is advised. Movie Night: Coyote vs ACME at Easton Town Mall

The Completely Series - (A.M.) Field Shoot - Franklin Park Conservatory

Franklin Park Conservatory opens at 10:00 am but we will plan to meet at 9:00 am to walk the grounds before going in (you will have to purchase your own ticket). These events on the schedule are to serve three purposes: 1. These will serve as field shoots targeted at The Completely Series homework. Generally, each of these shoots will focus on the homework assigned in the two prior weeks. So locations and topics will be picked to match those expectations. 2. Additionally, these events are to serve as placeholders for TIME OF DAY. They are intended to be modified as needed to capture SUNRISE and/or EARLY MORNING light. They will likely be modified to time out for the IDEAL light on that day, at that location. EXPECT THEM TO BE MODIFIED as the time of year changes and/or schedule conflicts occur. But THERE WILL BE at least one morning shoot per month. 3. Lastly, they are also to serve as semi-monthly morning shoots for the group as a whole. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE IN THE COMPLETELY SERIES to attend any of these morning field shoots. Locations and specifics will be updated as the event date approaches.
