Startup Momentum Community Social

Startup Momentum Community Social

Wed, Jun 17, 5:30 PM
From Startup Momentum

🚀 Startup Momentum Community Social A recurring meetup for founders, aspiring founders, startup enthusiasts, and ambitious people who want to build meaningful things and surround themselves with others doing the same. ❌ This is not a traditional networking event. The goal is to create a genuine entrepreneurial community built around openness, action, momentum, and helping each other move forward. Whether you’re: • Building a startup • Exploring a new idea • Looking for collaborators or a cofounder • Trying to hire great people • Feeling stuck on a problem • Interested in startups, AI, business, or the future • Or simply looking for more entrepreneurial people around you — you’re welcome here. Some people attending will already be founders. Others may just be starting their journey. What matters most is curiosity, ambition, openness, and a willingness to engage thoughtfully. 💡 What makes this different? This meetup is designed around meaningful conversations and real value exchange. Bring: • Startup ideas you want feedback on • Problems or blockers you want help solving • Questions you’ve been thinking about • Interesting things you’re building or learning • An openness to helping others make progress too The best conversations here are not: “What do you do?” They’re: • “What are you trying to build?” • “What are you stuck on?” • “What kind of people are you hoping to meet?” • “How can I help?” We strongly encourage people to be open about what they’re trying to achieve and what support, introductions, collaborators, skills, or feedback they’re looking for. The goal is for everyone to leave with: ⚡ More momentum 🤝 Valuable new relationships 💭 Better ideas and clearer thinking 🎯 Actionable next steps 🙏 Please help create the kind of startup community you’d want to be part of: • Ask thoughtful questions • Be curious about what others are building • Share ideas generously • Offer support and feedback where you can • Make the most of every interaction Many attendees will be coming alone, so don’t worry if you don’t know anyone beforehand. 🌱 This is our very first event. The long-term vision is to build a recurring startup community where ambitious people genuinely support each other, exchange ideas, form collaborations, and grow together over time. 📲 There’ll also be a WhatsApp community you can join after the event to stay connected between meetups and continue conversations afterward.

From Alt Ladies London
5.0

**‎‧₊˚✧** Hi everyone, who is up to a Vampire Ball at the Steel Yard!? **✧˚₊‧** **🦇** On 30 May, **Necropolis Festival** invites you to the Vampire Ball, a night where the dancefloor belongs to vampires. Think deep red lighting, candlelit corners, mysterious visuals, and details that make the rooms feel like otherworldly. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time, drifting between rooms, music, and conversations with people who feel like they’ve stepped out of the same nocturnal universe. More than anything, this night is about connection, meeting kindred spirits who live for the same energy, sharing moments on the dancefloor, and becoming part of a crowd that moves together until the early hours. **🩸** **Genres:** EBM, Techno, Goth **´ཀ\`** **Line up:** Arrosa, Yiota, ona:v, Glotzer, METALLIC LOVER and more... 🎀 **Dress Code:** There’s no strict dress code for the Vampire Ball, but the inspiration is dark romance and vampiric elegance. Think velvet, lace, dramatic silhouettes, pale skin, dark lips, Victorian goth. 🆔 **ID:** All guests must present a physical photo ID **The plan** is to meet around 9.30pm at [The Cannick Tapps](https://maps.app.goo.gl/8xuoeVypywRWsr9cA) (nearest tube - Cannon Street, Monument) for a catch up and a drink and then head up to The Steel Yard around 11pm. If this is too early for you feel free to join later or at the venue. It will be a night to remember Looking forward to seeing you there! **Useful links:** **📆** Sat 30 May, 9:30 pm **🎫** Tickets: [RA Events](https://ra.co/events/2391755?p=khoinixspecial) £16.80 before midnight when you apply 20% off thanks to Necropolis (discount code in the link). **📍** [The Steel Yard](https://maps.app.goo.gl/af3dqdZMn4uhZsPs5) 13-16 Allhallows Ln, London EC4R 3UE **🍸** [The Cannick Tapps](https://maps.app.goo.gl/8xuoeVypywRWsr9cA) 105-109 Cannon St, London EC4N 5AD This is a mixed event, guests welcome! Folklore Inspired Creative Session

Folklore Inspired Creative Session

Sat, Jun 13, 9:00 AM
From Saturday Morning Folklore Club
5.0

**Do you ever feel the pull to be creative, but don’t know how to start, or even what you want to make?** **Do you ever get a flash of inspiration, but never have the time or energy to follow it through?** **Do you worry that you have to become technically skilled before you have the 'right' to make art?** **If you answered yes to any of the above, then this event is for you!** As children, we create all the time. We sing, draw and write as part of our normal lessons. We make sandcastles, secret dens, friendship bracelets, invent ball games and make up elaborate storylines for dolls and action figures. We don’t fear failure because the point isn’t to succeed, but to express ourselves and have fun. In fact there’s a whole branch of folklore called childlore! But as adults, it can become hard to connect with that creative instinct, whether that’s due to time, energy, cost or self-doubt. So for this event, we’ll be taking time and space to connect with what inspires us and flex our creativity just for the fun of it. Skill and experience levels don’t matter (although those who are skilled or experienced are welcome!)-what matters is remembering what creative inspiration feels like to you personally, and pursuing it to create something authentic to you. To do this, we’ll be emulating artists across millennia in using folklore as inspiration. A collection of folklore genres will be supplied, each containing a collection of prompts, and you will be picking a piece of folklore that speaks to you on that day and creating a piece of art based on your own interpretation of your prompt. This art can be anything, from poetry to sketching, sewing to architecture, make up, set design, tattoo art, songwriting, fashion, game design or event planning-whatever your prompt inspires you to create! You can choose to do several pieces or spend the whole session on one. Paper and pencils will be provided, but please feel free to bring other materials so long as they are not disruptive to the people or environment around us (eg no liquid paints, musical instruments, etc). Please note: this is not a technical lesson! No specific creative skills will be taught, as the aim is connecting with your own personal creative process. But you are welcome to take your pieces home with you to hone your skills. If there are specific areas of folklore that you would like to see prompts for we would love to include them! Please feel free to message Kathy with your ideas :) (This is a free event, so we ask that you please keep RSVPs updated to ensure that as many people as possible who want to come are able to. Cancellations with less than three days’ notice may be removed from the group to prevent wasted spaces in future. Many thanks for your understanding!)
