## **Creative Day: Art and Poetry Afternoon** Looking for a relaxed space to exercise your creativity? Whether you’re an experienced artist, a casual writer, or someone who hasn't picked up a paintbrush since school, you are completely welcome here. This is a low-pressure, friendly afternoon designed to help us connect and create together. ### **The Details** * **When:** Saturday, June 6th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM * **Where:** @Burmese House (303 Bridge Rd, Richmond VIC 3121) **You can participate in one of two ways:** 1. Bring Your Own Project: Have a sketchpad you haven't opened in weeks? A novel you're working on? Or some sewing you're trying to finish? Bring it along and enjoy working on it in good company. 2. Join A Simple Workshop: Want to try something new? We’ll be running casual, self-paced mini-workshops where you can: * Start a new poetry piece * Create a hands-on collage *Note: If you want to try the poetry or collage workshops, don't worry about bringing anything as all poetry and collage materials are provided!*

The days are getting cooler. It's the shortest day of the year, the perfect time to cosy up with a blanket and maybe a hot beverage to get some crafting done before the days start getting longer. Soon, we'll be complaining that it's too hot again. Do you have any crafts you're working on? Maybe some half-finished craft projects lying around? Or a new craft that you want to try out? Bring them to the Craftanoon to work on while chatting with your fellow Discworld fans. Craft and social - DIY Flowers with pipe cleaners

I saw this craft on Pinterest so I got the material and would like to try doing this. You’re welcome to come solo, bring a friend, chat, or simply sit quietly and work on your own flowers. There’s no pressure to socialise, participation looks however you want it to. All basic materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own ribbons, material, or ideas if you’d like to personalise your creations. Art Lab: Sculptural Vessels

Join in on three weeks of sculptural play with local artist, Cecily Trajkov, at Wellington St Neighbourhood House. Over this set of Art Lab sessions you will create your own one-of-a-kind sculptural vase - week one, you will construct the base and over weeks two and three you will weave and sculpt its body. Places limited - booking required for these sessions. Knitting and Crocheting with Conversation and Coffee at Kindred Studios

**Description**: Join me to knit or crochet in the warm, friendly environment of Kindred Studios where we can share our skills and ideas. Knitters, crocheters and crafters of all abilities are welcome. The conversation is relaxed as we work on our projects together and it's a great way to make new friends. The Bass Note Cafe is within the studios and will bring great coffee and delicious snacks to our table. **Agenda**: I'll meet you at 10.00am inside Kindred Studios at the large table near the tiered seating. We have the space available until 12.00pm. **Location**: Kindred Studios 3 Harris St Yarraville Street parking is available nearby in Harris, Cowper, Hyde and Whitehall Streets. There are large red signs on the footpath to guide you to Kindred Studios. If you are coming by train take the Williamstown/Werribee line to Seddon Station. There are many social events but it isn’t easy to feel connected to someone in a large group setting. I am super extroverted yet found myself walking home after a great social feeling more lonely, because of all the superficial connections made. I started Hue&Crew to help people build their next close-friend circle based on age, personality and interest! 🎨**What to Expect** This isn’t a big mixer event, every event has a limit of 6 people per table and a fishbowl full of conversation starters to help people get started! We move around Melbourne's many beautiful cafes weekly to keep things fresh!
