Welcome to the North Melbourne Canvas Connections. This is a recurring space for members of the Beginner Artists Society to step away from the solitude of the home studio and work alongside others in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Whether you are currently navigating a specific project or just want to dedicate a few hours to practicing your skills, this is a place to share ideas and enjoy the company of fellow creators. The session is open to anyone who identifies as a beginner and is looking for a consistent time and place to sit down and create. There is no formal instruction or strict agenda; instead, we focus on providing a quiet, supportive atmosphere where you can experiment with your medium, exchange tips, and simply focus on the process. Bring whatever materials you are currently working with and join us for a productive afternoon. If you have been meaning to prioritize your creative practice but struggle to find the time at home, please consider joining us this time around. Melbourne Sketching Spirits Creative Social Hour

We are getting together for a relaxed afternoon of drawing and conversation at our next Melbourne Sketching Spirits Creative Social Hour. Whether you have not picked up a pencil since school or are just looking for a low-pressure way to get back into sketching, this is a space for you. There is no formal instruction or strict agenda; we simply bring our sketchbooks, grab a drink, and enjoy the process of putting lines on paper in good company. This group is all about keeping things simple and social. It is the perfect opportunity to meet other people in the area who enjoy being creative without the intimidation of a traditional art class. If you are looking for a quiet way to spend an hour or two and want to connect with a friendly, local community, please come along. It’s spooky season! 👻🪦🦇 Grab your art supplies and meet me at the spot i’ve marked on the map 🗺️ (located in the event images) the meeting spot is marked in blue and i’ve marked all the entrance gates in red since they are tricky to find. We will split up and walk around the cemetery taking inspiration from our surroundings for our sketches. Please meet me back at the meeting spot at 2:50pm to have a chat and share our artworks 👻✨ 🪦 Please be respectful of the dead while wandering the Cemetery 🪦

We are getting together in North Melbourne to enjoy a bit of quiet time, share some sketching tips, and work on our drawing skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment. It is a chance to step away from screens and connect with others who are interested in exploring their creative side. We will spend the time sketching, chatting, and swapping ideas at our own pace. You do not need any formal training or expensive equipment to join us, just bring a sketchbook, a pencil, and an open mind. If you are looking for a friendly space to pick up a new hobby or simply want to meet some local neighbors, we would love to have you join the circle. **THEME** At this Deep Work event we'll explore **The Aesthetic Advantage** \- how we are all artists at heart\. The Aesthetic Advantage invites us to see ourselves as craftspeople, whatever our job title: bringing care, beauty and excellence to every detail, even the ones no one will ever see. **TIMING** \*Please arrive by 7:00PM for a 7:15PM start. The event will conclude at 8:45PM. **SETUP** You will be seated in small groups of about 5 people. We encourage you to sit with people that you don't yet know. :) **TICKETS** Tickets are $20. Grab your art supplies and a picnic blanket or camp chair and let’s get together for an artsy hangout on the grass outside Balam Balam Place 👩‍🎨 all kinds of artists and skill levels are welcome to join! If you aren’t sure what to create the club has a weekly theme, just ask me what the prompt is! ☕️ The Home Economics cafe is at the entrance to the main building if you want to grab a drink or sit inside the cafe area ☔️ If there is rain this event will either be moved to Brunswick Library or cancelled ⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ Please do not attend if you are sick. Knitting and Crocheting with Conversation and Coffee at Kindred Studios

**Description**: Join me to knit or crochet in the warm, friendly environment of Kindred Studios where we can share our skills and ideas. Knitters, crocheters and crafters of all abilities are welcome. The conversation is relaxed as we work on our projects together and it's a great way to make new friends. The Bass Note Cafe is within the studios and will bring great coffee and delicious snacks to our table. **Agenda**: I'll meet you at 10.00am inside Kindred Studios at the large table near the tiered seating. We have the space available until 12.00pm. **Location**: Kindred Studios 3 Harris St Yarraville Street parking is available nearby in Harris, Cowper, Hyde and Whitehall Streets. There are large red signs on the footpath to guide you to Kindred Studios. If you are coming by train take the Williamstown/Werribee line to Seddon Station. 'GENESIS' - The Generative AI Filmmaker's Networking Event

**Welcome to 'GENESIS' - The Generative AI Filmmaking Networking Event!** ***THIS MAY BE A LIMITED EVENT - PLEASE MAKE SURE TO RSVP.*** This group is for individuals interested in exploring the intersection of generative AI technology and movie making. Whether you're a filmmaker eager to discuss movie production, a technician looking to collaborate, or simply wishing to learn more and discuss AI in film, this group is for you! Join us at the Emporium food court (located behind Grill’d Burger Restaurant in the CBD, not near Melbourne Station) to discuss AI technologies, workflows, productions, AI ethics, government responsibility and more. After 7pm, we continue the evening with Happy Hour drinks at a nearby bar and a chance to grab dinner together. Feel free to bring friends interested in AI filmmaking; it’s a great way to introduce new faces to our expanding network. RSVP to help us gauge attendance and become part of a growing network of film professionals and enthusiasts. Though the event begins in the afternoon, the relationships you build here can last well into the night and beyond. At 7 PM, we move to The Carlton Club, a five-minute walk away, where we continue networking in a more formal rooftop setting over drinks and food. Artsy Afternoon @ O3Space ✨

Join us for a chill artsy afternoon, bring any art supplies you like 👩‍🎨🎨📝✨ Access to O3Space requires you to have the minimum ( FREE! ) membership that you sign up for when you download their app. Simply download the O3Space app, create a profile and use the QR code at the gate to enter/exit the building. The gate is located inside the tram on the right side of the cafe ☕️🚊 The free membership allows you in the building for up to 3 hours per week, if you go over they might charge you so make sure to use the QR code on your way out!! There is a timer countdown in the app so you know how long you have been there ⏰
