Nocturnal at Melbourne Museum: Rome, Antarctica & After-Dark Galleries

Let’s visit Melbourne Museum after dark for Nocturnal, an adults-only evening where the museum stays open late with talks, performances, exhibitions, music, and a more relaxed evening atmosphere. We’ll meet outside the museum gate at 5:45pm, say hello, and head in together before the program starts at 6:00pm. The plan is to catch a few highlights from the evening, including a live harp performance by Genevieve Fry, the Antarctica talk with Dr Joanna Sumner, and ROME: Empire, Power, People spot talks. After that, we’ll keep the last part of the evening flexible and explore the exhibition/galleries at an easy pace. This is a relaxed, low-pressure event. Join us for a chill artsy afternoon, bring any art supplies you like 👩‍🎨🎨📝✨ Access to O3Space requires you to have the minimum ( FREE! ) membership that you sign up for when you download their app. Simply download the O3Space app, create a profile and use the QR code at the gate to enter/exit the building. The gate is located inside the tram on the right side of the cafe ☕️🚊 The free membership allows you in the building for up to 3 hours per week, if you go over they might charge you so make sure to use the QR code on your way out!! If you aren’t sure what to draw the club has a weekly drawing theme, just ask me what the prompt is 😊 There is also a small cafe inside the building for those who want a drink while they draw ☕️ ✏️ We welcome all artists of any skill level or medium, Whether you’re a beginner or pro, traditional or digital, absolutely anyone can join. ⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ Please do not attend if you are sick. I have multiple chronic illnesses so my immune system is extremely weak. Art Lab: Sculptural Vessels

Join in on three weeks of sculptural play with local artist, Cecily Trajkov, at Wellington St Neighbourhood House. Over this set of Art Lab sessions you will create your own one-of-a-kind sculptural vase - week one, you will construct the base and over weeks two and three you will weave and sculpt its body. Monty Art Gang Opening Night Exhibition

**THIS EVENT IS WEATHER DEPENDANT.** **CHECK THIS PAGE/COMMENTS AGAIN CLOSER TO THE EVENT DATE.** Join us for a night of astrophotography as we capture the sunset and the core of the Milky Way from the coastline of the Mornington Peninsula. **Draft Schedule** 4.30pm: Meet at Sunset Location TBC 5.00pm: **Sunset** (Location TBC - Arthurs Seat) 6.00pm: **Dinner** (Location TBC - Flinders Hotel) 7.30pm - 8.30pm: **Milky Way** Photography- the Galaxy Core will be visible from 6.40pm (Location **TBC** as Flinders Jetty is under construction) **Weather Policy:** Astrophotography is highly dependent on clear skies. If the forecast predicts 70% or greater cloud cover, we will postpone the event to our backup date (likely 11 July). Knitting and Crocheting with Conversation and Coffee at Kindred Studios

**Description**: Join me to knit or crochet in the warm, friendly environment of Kindred Studios where we can share our skills and ideas. Knitters, crocheters and crafters of all abilities are welcome. The conversation is relaxed as we work on our projects together and it's a great way to make new friends. The Bass Note Cafe is within the studios and will bring great coffee and delicious snacks to our table. **Agenda**: I'll meet you at 10.00am inside Kindred Studios at the large table near the tiered seating. We have the space available until 12.00pm. **Location**: Kindred Studios 3 Harris St Yarraville Street parking is available nearby in Harris, Cowper, Hyde and Whitehall Streets. There are large red signs on the footpath to guide you to Kindred Studios. If you are coming by train take the Williamstown/Werribee line to Seddon Station.
