**August Chess Social: Special Event at the LACMA** Join us for our first event at the Los Angeles County Museum of the Arts! We are especially excited to host an afternoon of chess at the newly built David Geffen Gallary! Join us for chess, art, and to make some new friends! We will be doing this event alongside multiple of our lovely sister chess clubs and socials! Paper and markers will be provided but guests are encouraged to bring their own supplies too. Sessions are uninstructed and creative exploration is encouraged. Welcome to the best pickup games around. Do not enter the field until the front gate is open Fees go to covering the rental cost of reserving the field. I also have expenses for meetup, balls, an extra shirt/bibs. Once the rental fees of the field are covered, only players with credits will be allowed. Everyone rotating goalie unless we have goalies that come. Sometimes we have 2 subs so everyone can get a short break over the duration of the game. Everyone rotates as goalie unless a full time goalie shows up. If anyone kicks the ball over the fence into the swamp, they have to look for it right away and replace it if they cannot find it for another ball ($30-40 value). See home page as time stated is the warmup time and game to start approx 30 minutes later and we play for about 90 minutes and sometimes up to 2 hrs There are no slide tackles or rough challenges as this is a fun intermediate/advance coed pickup game.
