Join our weekly Walthamstow Meetups and play some games with us! **💜Everybody Welcome:** We meet up every week to play a bunch of modern board games, card games and party games in pubs. If you would like to get involved, RSVP to the event. You can bring games with you if you like, although not a requirement. 🌱**Something For Everyone:** Whether you're a seasoned board game veteran or just starting out, you're welcome. No previous experience necessary, we go through the rules before playing. We play a range of games, from lighter card and party games to epic strategies. **📌Where:** We meet at the **The Village Club** in Walthamstow, which is a 10 minute walk from Walthamstow Central underground station.. When you arrive please press the buzzer to gain entry. Just say you are joining the board game group. Come say hello and the event hosts will get you settled in. The Village Club is a member's club but you can attend our board game evening without becoming a member. As the space will stay open for the use of our group the expectation is that you will buy a drink or two to cover the cost of the bar staff. If you so wish you have the option of joining the club in future for £10 a year. ⌚**When**: * **18:30** \- Arrival & Game Sign Up * **19:00** \- Games Begin * **23:00** \- Venue Closes If you arrive after games begin, you may have to wait until the next game starts. This is for players who want a fast pace with a structured "winner stays on" format. Here is the breakdown of rules: **Game Format & Scoring** • Scoring: Games are played to 7 points. • Value: 1s and 2s (standard scoring applies). • Time Limit: Each game is capped at 7 minutes to keep the rotation moving. • Check Ball: All fouls result in a check-up at the top of the key. Let’s keep it clean and competitive! **Rotation Rules** • Winner Stays On • The Streak Limit: To ensure everyone gets maximum playing time, a team must rotate off after 3 consecutive wins. • Teams of 6: Each team has one sub. This event is hosted by the Corbett Gamers of Catford. The last one before a short break for summer. We welcome players of all ages, all backgrounds and all abilities. You need know nothing at all except perhaps your own name. And where to go. And what time it is. And probably how to get home afterwards. (Lifts to and from Hither Green station are often available.) If you're worried about losing, fear not as there are plenty of co-operative and otherwise non-competitive games. Things to bring: 1. Yourself (required) 2. Drinks or snacks (optional)\* 3. 1-3 games (optional) 4. Your mobile banking app to make a donation to the community centre for use of the space if you are able (optional)\*\* If you will be arriving late, make sure somebody knows you're coming, both so we have a table playing shorter / filler games until you arrive, and because we usually lock the gate around 8:30. \* The café is not staffed in the evening, but there is an honesty box for us with crisps, popcorn, soft drinks, tea, beer, wine etc. \*\* Suggested donation is £5 \~ £10 dependent on your situation, but it is not required. Abbotshall HLC tells us the total sometimes but we are not able to see who pays what.

The new edition of Kill Team is upon us! This night is the perfect way to get your first games of the new edition of Kill Team in a relaxed and friendly environment as we all help eachother learn the new rules. Beginners welcome (we’ll help you learn!) and experienced players also welcome to get practice in with the new rule set. Kill Team boards and terrain are available at the club as part of your booking, but these are larger ‘lets play’ nights for the new edition and so if you can bring a terrain set with you please do(!) and let us know as you register as it helps for planning. * Pairings with an opponent will be done by the event host on the night, you can just sign up as an individual; * Please note: this MeetUp is for Kill Team bookings only. If you need a bar table for another system, or a larger table for 40k, AoS, etc then please RSVP using the orbed MeetUps for the same date. **Cancellations** If you can't make it, please contact your event host asap. There will be no cash refunds issued if you cancel within 48 hours of the event starting, but we can defer your game to another date. **About Us** The LWG have over 4,000 members looking for games and generally discussing the hobby in the widest sense.
