Bloom Room - Move, Feel, Connect

Bloom Room - Move, Feel, Connect

Wed, Aug 26, 10:30 PM
From Dare To Bloom Loud

### **Move. Feel. Connect** ***An evening for women who are craving something a little more real*** \[https://www\.eventbrite\.com/e/bloom\-room\-move\-feel\-connect\-at\-central\-park\-registration\-1996420267763\]\(Reserve your spot\) Somewhere between work, dating, social media, and trying to keep up with life, many of us have forgotten what it feels like to simply exist No networking, performing, or trying to impress **Just breathing, moving, laughing, and connecting with ourselves** Bloom Room was created for that *Imagine relaxing on cozy blankets beneath the trees, sipping warm tea, listening to soft music in a circle of women who are all looking for the same thing:* * A little more presence, honesty, and more connection No one expects you to have it all together here You don't have to be outgoing or know anyone nor share anything you don't want to Just come as you are ### **You belong here if...** • You've been craving friendships that go a little deeper • You're tired of meeting people through loud bars, networking events, or endless small talk • You miss having space to slow down and listen to yourself • You're curious about movement, creativity, mindfulness, or simply trying something different • You want to leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived ## **What the evening might feel like** We'll begin by slowing down together. From there, every Bloom Room unfolds a little differently: * Some evenings we'll move * Others, we'll create expressive art * Then reflect Some we'll laugh so hard our stomachs hurt The heart of it stays the same: a safe space to be real * Notice what's present * Connect with yourself And maybe leave, having met women who feel a little less like strangers ## **What to expect** 🌿 Gentle movement and breathwork 🍵 Tea and nourishing snacks ✨ Somatic-inspired connection exercises 🎨 Creative or reflective activities 💛 Optional sharing (always optional) 🌸 A welcoming circle of women who are also craving something more real No experience needed, there's nothing to prove ## **The kind of space we're creating** We believe meaningful connection doesn't begin with the perfect conversation. It begins when people feel safe enough to stop performing. Bloom Room is built on kindness, curiosity, respect, and consent. You will never be asked to do anything that doesn't feel right for you. We simply invite you to come with an open mind and a willingness to be present. ## **Bring** • 🍀 A blanket, towel, or mat • 💧 Water, a mug • 👚 Comfortable clothes you can move in • 📒 A journal if you'd like We'll take care of the tea, snacks, supplies and more ## **Contribution** We ask for a $7-14 contribution to help cover tea, snacks, and materials. If you'd like to support Bloom Room further, you're welcome to contribute whatever feels accessible after the gathering No one will be turned away because of finances **Reserve your spot via:** *https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bloom-room-move-feel-connect-at-central-park-registration-1996420267763* ## **Before you reserve your spot** Bloom Room isn't about becoming someone new. It's about remembering the version of yourself that feels most alive when you slow down. Come if you're curious, nervous, lonely, or need to reset Leave a little more connected than when you arrived IG [@daretobloomloud](https://www.instagram.com/daretobloomloud/ "https://www.instagram.com/daretobloomloud/")

By lantern-light (well… flashlights and street lamps), you’ll explore haunted sites, uncover chilling stories, and race to solve clues that lurk in the shadows of the Financial District. It’s the perfect mix of fright and fun: explore, learn, laugh—and maybe get a shiver or two! We’ll split you into teams and equip you with everything you need to take on the hunt. Space is limited, so claim your spot… if you dare. 👀 After your haunted quest, stick around for a festive social at a nearby venue to share ghost stories, laughs, and a well-earned drink. **How It Works** 7:00 PM sharp – Check in at the registration point. Come solo or with friends—we’ll form teams of about 5 people. Teams will have 90 minutes to track down as many clues as possible. Prizes awarded to the team with the most correct finds. (All clues come directly from the history, geography, and buildings of the area—we don’t plant anything.) **What You’ll Discover** From the 1600s to today, Lower Manhattan has witnessed hangings, hauntings, massacres, explosions, and mysteries. Along the way you’ll scour Bowling Green to City Hall, visit allegedly haunted sites, and uncover fascinating historical markers while piecing together the city’s darker past. **Event Details** **Cost:** $25 General Admission / $20 Lifetime VIP Members **Ages:** 21+ (most attendees are in their 30s & 40s, with plenty in their 20s & 50s too) **Dress:** Comfortable/casual shoes and clothing recommended Come solo! This event is happening on 2 dates - Fri 8/28 at The Dawson & Sat 8/29 at The Westbury. Click the ticket link below for the date you'd like to attend. **\*FRI 8/28 @ The Dawson : [https://www.eventbrite.com/e/date-play-dating-games-tickets-1982095182046](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/date-play-dating-games-tickets-1982095182046)** **\*SAT 8/29 @ The Westbury: [https://www.eventbrite.com/e/play-date-tickets-1998488585156](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/play-date-tickets-1998488585156)** (\*Our last ones sold out quickly, especially for men, so get your ticket ASAP) Come check out this unique twist on speed dating. Join us for a unique social event for singles in NYC (20s, 30s, 40s)! Make new social connections, win raffle prizes and meet other fun singles! **HOW IT WORKS:** Our friendly host will welcome everyone and then you'll be grouped off into separate tables where you'll get to meet, chat with and play fun social games with other singles in small groups of about 4 or 5 people. Then, similar to traditional speed dating, you'll rotate from table to table getting a chance to meet all the other singles in attendance. You'll be handed a "match sheet" and at the end of the event you'll be able to indicate people you'd like to talk to again in the future. If they also choose you, our host will send you each others' contact information within about 24 hours after the event and you can feel free to set up a date with them. Let's face it, we're all tired of swiping over and over again on people who may or may not look like or be like the person they're portraying on the apps. A Play & Date speed dating event is a much better way to meet someone because you actually get to meet singles in person and really get to know them. This is entirely new and revolutionary type of speed dating event! We love the idea of traditional speed dating but sometimes it's hard to come up with things to talk about. That's why at a Play & Date speed dating event you'll have fun, easy games to play to get to know everyone instead of dealing with the usual dating "job interview" type questions. We find that it's a much better way to get to know someone! **WIN PRIZES:** You'll enjoy an evening of meeting new people, fun social interactions and games... No skill necessary, just a bit of luck! Our friendly host will be orchestrating the event and making introductions among the group. You'll participate in several games during the evening while getting a chance to interact with all members of the opposite sex. Win a game, get a raffle ticket for chances to win prizes! **WHY IT WORKS:** Through the years we've organized many speed dating events. We had a host that would sometimes invite the guests to stay around if they wanted to after the event to play some games. She would bring some fun interactive games and casino type games of chance/luck with her. We noticed something fascinating start to happen! More people would make connections at the games after the event than at the actual speed dating! That led us to creating this event. It's the perfect way to meet people in this busy city! **WHAT GAMES WILL WE BE PLAYING:** They are simple but extremely fun games that don't require much skill... they are mostly fun games of luck and chance to get the crowd mingling and having a good time. The fun games are set up to break the ice, help you gauge compatibility and make quality connections. Some of the games are similar to the most popular party games, others are like casino games that involve rolling dice and some are a little bit different but we assure you... they are really, really fun and you don't need to know how to play anything in particular (ie. we won't be playing blackjack or poker or anything like that). **FAQs:** How many people will be participating? We usually have between 20 and 30 or so people in attendance. We don't exactly gender balance the event occasionally we have a few more women than men and sometimes we have a few more men than women. Either way we make sure you get to meet a good amount of singles of the opposite gender. Can I come alone? Yes about 75% of those attending will be coming solo. But you can also invite friends to join you. Everyone must have a ticket to enter. Is there a dress code? No specific dress code. We just suggest "neat casual" *\*\* IMPORTANT QUICK NOTE: PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME. THIS EVENT STARTS PROMPTLY AT 8:00 PM. IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES LATE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE SO PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ARRIVE ON TIME OR A LITTLE BIT EARLY. THE BAR WILL BE OPEN SO FEEL FREE TO ARRIVE EARLY AND HAVE A DRINK AT THE BAR BEFORE THE EVENT STARTS*

The Green Room - Actor Meet-up

The Green Room - Actor Meet-up

Tue, Aug 25, 11:30 PM
From The Green Room

So You Wanna Be an Actor? Hi friendssss! I’ve found that it can be surprisingly hard to make time to see fellow actors, writers, models, and other creative people outside of class, rehearsals, and work. So I wanted to create a casual weekly space where we can connect, meet new people, share what we’re working on, and build community. As we grow, the location may change if I find a spot that’s an even better fit for the group. The vibe is less of a formal networking event and more of a relaxed creative meetup where people can talk about acting, auditions, projects, industry experiences, goals, or whatever else is on their minds. A few notes: * No drinking is necessary—totally up to you. * The bar also has food, soda, and other non-alcoholic options available. * Feel free to invite actor friends and other creatives who would enjoy the community. * Come as you are—whether you’re just starting out or have been in the industry for years. Looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing where this community grows! — Sierra
