Filmmakers & Movie Nerds Meetup #182
Sun, May 31, 3:00 PMCurious what we do? Check our [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/filmmakersandmovienerds/) âĽď¸ Would you like to meet some like-minded filmmakers? Start a project? Or do you need help with a movie you are currently working on? Are you new in the city and you'd like to meet people tinkering with movies? **Then you should join us!** We meet every Sunday. Itâs important to us that we get to know each other in person. To create a community of connected people, work, learn and grow together. For film making you need a crew of reliable people with a positive can-do-attitude. This is the place to find them. Together, we will talk about these topics: * What you are currently working on * What you need help with * What would you like to help with * What you you would like to learn This is event is great for: * filmmakers * movie nerds * writers * camera operators * editors * actors * sound recorders * composers * gaffers * producers We are limiting the amount of people, so we can have a structured introduction and discussion. After that we get together loosely with some drinks and chats. And then we mostly go for dinner with a couple of us. **Important information**: *To sustain and grow this amazing community, we started a member contribution that is due every month. The money we collect is used solely for the purpose of the community. Of course you can come once or twice without contributing to check us out!*

Origami CATalogue at a cat cafĂŠ đ
Sun, May 31, 1:00 PMFor the first time in its almost two years of history, Origami Crafters in Berlin goes into a **cat cafĂŠ**! Actual cats will be around to witness our folding efforts.*đđââŹ* And what could be more appropriate to fold there than **cats** themselves? We might also add **mice** to the folding menu, depending on your appetite (and so to say, our origami cats' appetite too). đşđ We invite you to join us at the very centrally located **Katzentempel** (S+U Friedrichstrasse) to fold a feline cat-alogue while enjoying the company of real cats roaming around. What you can expect in our events: * **Mandatory donation (amount of your choice)** â this supports essential costs like the Meetup subscription and keeps our community thriving. đą You can either submit a physical donation to the event host in person or make a digital donation [here](https://paypal.me/origamiberlin?locale.x=de_DE&country.x=DE) (and inform the host afterwards). * **Please order at least one drink/snack** to support Katzentempel for hosting us! * **In-person folding practice for all levels** â beginners and experienced folders are equally welcome. * **Origami paper + model instructions will be provided** (from the hostâs collection, for reference only). Feel free to bring your own favorite sheets or tools! * **Photos may be taken** for memories & our archive (Meetup, Instagram, Telegram) â let the host know if you prefer not to appear. â ď¸ **RSVP Policy â Please Read** â ď¸ Our community has grown a lot since its birth in August 2024, which is amazing â but it also means we need to handle RSVPs more carefully: * Please cancel your spot or contact the host directly (via Meetup message function or our [Telegram channel](https://t.me/+T4URs80l2ig3NWNi)) if you can't make it last minute. * Members with **2 no-shows** (without notice) will be removed from the group unless a valid reason is provided. Thank you for helping us keep Origami Crafters Berlin respectful, reliable, and fun! đ Get in touch if you have questions anytime and see you all at the folding tables very soon! âď¸
