🌳🌿 EVENING HIGH PARK SUMMER WALK 🌿🌳 Toronto's Biggest Park, Hidden Trails & Great Company High Park is Toronto's largest and most beloved park — and once you start exploring it, it's easy to understand why. From winding trails and forested paths to Grenadier Pond, beautiful gardens, historic landmarks, and even a small zoo, High Park offers a little bit of everything. Despite being right in the middle of the city, parts of the park feel surprisingly wild and peaceful. Join us for a relaxed social walk as we explore some of the best parts of High Park together. This is not a historical tour. It's a social walk focused on fresh air, exercise, conversation, and enjoying one of Toronto's most beautiful green spaces. **👉 Don't forget to join our WhatsApp group – CLICK HERE!** *** 🚶‍♂️ What We'll Do We'll spend approximately 2 hours exploring High Park's trails, pathways, and scenic areas. Along the way we'll: 🌳 Walk through wooded trails 🦆 Visit Grenadier Pond 📸 Stop at some of the park's most beautiful spots 😊 Take a short break along the route 🚶 Continue exploring before returning to the subway station Please note there are several hills and a large staircase on this route. Nothing extreme, but there are hills and stairs that you will be able to climb and you should be comfortable walking for an extended period. This walk is suitable for most people with a moderate fitness level. *** ☀️ Weather & Expectations This event happens rain or shine. Summer weather can change quickly, so please dress appropriately and be prepared for sun, heat, or light rain. The only reason we would cancel is for severe weather conditions. This is a social walking group, not a race. As the city begins to slow down, the islands come alive with golden light, cool lake breezes, and some of the most spectacular views in Toronto. It feels like you've escaped the city without ever leaving it. Join us for a relaxed summer evening walk across the T Toronto Islands as we explore Hanlan's Point, Centre Island, and Ward's Island while enjoying beaches, open green spaces, charming cottages, and breathtaking skyline views. The Toronto Islands have a fascinating history. Originally connected to the mainland as a long sandbar peninsula, a powerful storm in 1858 permanently separated the land from Toronto, creating the islands we know today. Over the years they've been home to amusement parks, summer cottages, beaches, and the unique island community that still exists today on Ward's Island. This is not a formal historical tour. SAM SMITH PARK COMMUNITY WALK 📍 Meet in front of DeCourses Café 3232 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke 🕡 Start Time: 6:30 PM sharp ⏱ Duration: Approximately 1 hour Come meet your neighbours and connect with the South Etobicoke community on a beautiful evening walk along the waterfront! This 6 km looped walk is open to all ages and fitness levels. We’ll follow the scenic trails around Sam Smith Park and return to DeCourses Café at the end. Open to all ages 🥾 Beginners welcome 🚶 Casual to moderate pace 💪 Great way to get moving and build fitness 💬 Come for the walk, stay for the conversation Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here for years, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet local people, enjoy the lakeshore, and spend time outdoors together.
