Sunset Walk Through Golden Gate Park 🌅

Join us for a relaxed evening walk across Golden Gate Park as we make our way from the heart of the park all the way to Ocean Beach to catch the sunset together. We’ll meet in front of the Conservatory of Flowers before heading west down JFK Drive at an easy, social pace. Expect easy conversation, fresh ocean air, and classic San Francisco summer vibes. **Route:** Conservatory of Flowers → JFK Drive → Ocean Beach **Date:** Wednesday, July 29, 2026 **Meet Time:** 6:15 PM, but we'll wait until 6:30 PM for any late arrivals **Sunset:** Forecasted for 8:20 PM that day **Getting Home:** This event will end at Ocean Beach, so please plan accordingly on your own! We should arrive at Ocean Beach just in time to watch the sun dip into the Pacific. Bring hella layers — it can get chilly, foggy, and windy near the water even in July. All walking levels welcome. Join us for an afternoon beach day with our best friends 🐕🏖 *Dog not required* **What are we doing? 🏃🏻** This is going to be a beach day just relaxing and letting our paw friends enjoy the beach off-leash. We can bring lunch and just have our fur babies socialize and enjoy the day. **How long will this take?** ⏱️ However long you would like 😊 this is an open invite to anyone interested for the whole time of just part of the time. This is specifically just a hang out no hiking inlcuded, but we can walk the beach if anyone is interested but no pressure if no desire🐕‍🦺 **Where do we meet?** 📍 Look for my dog and I on the beach, I will have a day tent set up which we can use as our meet up point. From there, the day unfolds along one of the most iconic coastal routes in the world. Along the way: * Windswept cypress trees and rugged cliffs * Ocean overlooks at multiple scenic pullouts * Seal Rock, Lone Cypress, and panoramic coastal views * Wildlife sightings (deer, seals, seabirds) * Architectural marvels tucked into the coastline * Plenty of stops for photos and spontaneous “we have to pull over for this” moments. **🍽️ Waterfront Dining with a View** We’ll transition into a relaxed early evening dinner overlooking a world-famous golf course. Thursday Nature Walk - Lobos Valley Overlook (Presidio)

What: A 2.3 mile slow walk with 338 feet of elevation gain. When: Every Thursday at 5:30pm Where: Meet at the Lobos Valley Overlook (just up the hill from the 15th Avenue Presidio entrance) Who: Anyone is welcome! Why: Real life connection...to nature and to the community I live in.

Sunset Walk as the Full Moon Rises over Mt.Tam & a picnic

Hike the Full Moonrise (6:53pm) & Sunset (7:59pm) on Mt.Tam with a picnic . **Meeting Location: Trojan Point on Mt. Tamalpias (on Pan Toll Rd., before Rock Spring).** About a 1.5-2 mile hike with the best views. Elev. gain of about 200'. Wear hiking boots, hat, sunscreen and bring a water bottle. Bring a sandwich, snacks, something to eat and drink. The star of the evening is the location for the picnic with sunset and full moonrise views. If we get the right weather this can be spectacular. Wear hiking boots (highly recommended), hat, sunscreen and bring a water bottle. If you like bring a potluck dish or dessert to share. **\*Don't be a no-show. *See the Group's no-show policy below.*** Don't be a no-show and lose your membership in the Group. Exit Stinson Beach/Hwy 1, off of US Hwy.101. Take Hwy.1 to Panoramic Hwy. to Pantoll Rd., in a mile make a right into the Trojan Pt. parking lot on your right. If you go a little to far up this road you'll come to the big Rock Spring Parking Lot. Go back down a 1/4 mile to Trojan Pt.

Ocean Beach Stroll

The latest SF 55+ San Francisco Walking Group event takes place on Sundays at 1:00 p.m. at Java Beach at the Zoo Cafe, 2650 Sloat Boulevard, San Francisco. The route is to walk 3 blocks down Sloat Blvd. to the Upper Great Highway recreation path, continue walking until Judah Street and then turn around and go back to Java Beach. The walk varies between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Java Beach has a bathroom and there is also a public bathroom at Judah Street at the foot of the path at the halfway mark of the walk. The host is Weeming Yee, known as "Wee." **Rain Policy:** Rain cancels the walk **Dog Policy:** dog-friendly walk **Intensity:** Easy & Flat Walk 50 ft of elevation change **Route**: Up Ocean Beach and back **Restrooms:** Beginning (Java Beach on Sloat), Public restrooms every 3 blocks along the Great Hwy. **Distance:** 4 miles **Walk Talk:** Conversational **Pre-Walk**: no activities before walk **Post-Walk**: no activities after walk **Parking**: Parking is easy. **Grace Period:** 5 minutes **Running Late:** We'll walk to the Upper Great Highway and head North on the side path.
