The wood was burned several times but reforested each time. In 1852, Napoleon III ceded it to the city of Paris and gave carte blanche to architects and landscape designers to redesign the wood as a large English garden. Our hike will take us along the artificial lakes fed by the Seine, and the charming chalets and pavilions. We will cross the magnificent parks of Bagatelle and Pré-Catelan, and other historical places during our walk. Along the route, we visit the scenic Härzlisee area and enjoy stunning viewpoints across the Alps. * Depending on timing and group preference, we may also explore local cultural spots including the historic Engelberg Abbey or a traditional Swiss alpine wellness experience. * ✨ Expect scenic trails, mountain cafés, and relaxed summer hiking vibes. * 🏡 Overnight in Engelberg. **🟢 DAY 2 – FOUR LAKES HIKE ADVENTURE** * Today we experience one of the most spectacular hikes in Central Switzerland — the legendary Four Lakes Hike. * We hike through breathtaking alpine scenery past crystal-clear mountain lakes, dramatic ridges, waterfalls, and panoramic viewpoints.
