🥾 🌿 Join us for a tour of the Bois de Boulogne, a place steeped in history which takes its name from the small church of Boulogne, erected in 1308. The wood was burned several times but reforested each time. In 1852, Napoleon III ceded it to the city of Paris and gave carte blanche to architects and landscape designers to redesign the wood as a large English garden. Our hike will take us along the artificial lakes fed by the Seine, and the charming chalets and pavilions. We will cross the magnificent parks of Bagatelle and Pré-Catelan, and other historical places during our walk. We will finish with a drink at the charming Chalet des îles' bar. 📌 INFO: * Level: Intermediate (blue) * Distance: 13 km * Duration: Around 3 hours and half * Starting point: In front of Neuilly Porte Maillot station, RER C * Finishing point: Ranelagh subway station, line 9 * Meeting time: 15:00 p.m. * Departure at: 15:15 p.m. Fee: 10 EUR (cash or with the app. Lydia at 0685237028) + 2.60 EUR for Bagatelle park (to be paid directly at the entrance) Hiking leader: Valérie, mobile: 06 85 23 70 28,[ ](http://intrepidhikersfr@gmail.com)email: [intrepidhikersfr@gmail.com](http://mailto:intrepidhikersfr@gmail.com) 🎒 WHAT TO BRING: * Water (at least 1.5 litre), * Snack, * Umbrella or poncho, * Suitable clothing, * Hiking shoes.
