Our rides range from leisurely social outings to challenging, high-intensity adventures and we welcome guests on all our rides. The **Black Folk™ RoadRunners Bike Group** meet every 1st Saturday morning for rides of varying difficulty, starting from various locations in and around the Los Angeles area. We also administer and record Century Challenge rides, where cyclists can test themselves on 100-mile routes. Many of our rides take place on roads and trails less traveled and our calendar also contains special rides and events, highlighted by our signature ride, *The Black Tour*, in late February. This fully supported 24-hour event includes options for Double Century, Triple, and Quad rides. Throughout the year, we challenge cyclists with other featured rides, and our social events help us replenish the calories we burn while riding. Burbank/Chandler Bike Path: Pack Walk

**All breeds welcome!** Following a warmup around Whitnall Highway Park, we'll walk the pedestrian lane on a section of the Chandler bike path. Expect to maintain tight proximity as we share the road with moderate traffic, including approaching runners, pedestrians, children, strollers, and other dog walkers. Other distractions will include passing fast-moving bikes, scooters, and skateboards in the adjacent bike lanes. **Please read entire description before you RSVP.** **REQUIREMENTS:** Participants must submit a member form and participant release of liability each year. **[Click here to submit one](https://forms.gle/GzcftLq1MyLZpSG87)**. If you don't recall completing one this year, complete one now. **RULES:** ***First rule of our pack walks is to BE SAFE so that everyone has fun!*** All participants must comply to ALL guidelines below or will be asked to leave the event. 1. We understand last-minute changes take place; however, if you don't show up more than two times you will be placed on the wait list for future events. 2. We will do some mental exercises, so bring treats (or your dog’s dinner), or a toy for rewarding them. The path is well lit, but consider bringing lights as the end of our walk will hit twilight hours. **PACK WALK DISTANCE:** About 1.5 miles **TRAIL:** Mix of sidewalk, grass, and paved street. **DIFFICULTY:** Easy **DISTRACTION LEVEL:** Medium - High: There may be periods of high traffic where we will need to share the road with oncoming and passing users of the pedestrian lane. There will also be bikes, scooters, roller skaters, skateboards, etc. passing in close proximity at higher speed, in their own dedicated lane. For nearly all of the route, there is plenty of room to step off the paved path in case you need to create extra buffer space. **LARPBO PACK WALK GUIDELINES:** #1 All dogs must be on a secure collar and leash. Dogs using e-collars must also be on a leash. Prong collars should be backed up with a carabiner. Short leashes are recommended (less than 6 feet). Retractable leashes and harnesses are not allowed as they provide little control. #2 PLEASE NO NOSE TO NOSE CONTACT (dog to dog that is). Always maintain a six-foot distance between dogs. There should be no dog-on-dog interaction. #3 Please bring doggie poo bags. #4 Make sure you bring water for you and your dog. #5 One dog per handler. No exceptions! #6 Share the road. Move to the right to let others pass. *All breeds welcome. - There will be foot traffic, critters, and several other dogs.
