Tour Rumple Recycling Center, take a walk, and dine at Scotty's Cafe!

This will be a very cool event! We will start with a tour of the Rumpke Recycling & Resource Center, the largest and most technically advanced recycling center in North America. The tour starts at 9 am so plan on arriving a few minutes early so our group can convene. There may be a few other people on our tour, which lasts an hour. From there we'll go to Nelson Park, which is about 1.4 miles from Rumpke, has parking and sits directly on Alum Creek Trail (which is paved). We'll walk about 3 miles (out and back) on Alum Creek and then head to Scotty's Cafe for lunch. Alum Creek Trail Hike

Join us for a two mile hike south on the Alum Creek Trail to Ohio Dominican University and back. This paved trail winds along Alum Creek through the woods and alongside ball fields. This is a part of the trail we haven’t hike yet, so join us! It should be pretty flat and have several bridges.

Let's grab some coffee/food and share a morning chat! The East Market has an ample parking lot and outdoor and indoor seating. Grab a cup of coffee from Winston's Coffee & Waffles or on your way to East Market and meet us on the second floor - table behind or east of the elevator.
