WHATSAPP LINK BELOW 📳 We will visit Hamburg, one of the most beautiful German cities 💒 ⚓🏘️ and the Fischbeker Heide Natural Reserve 🌿🌲 We take the RE8 train at Berlin Hbf at 08,15 AM (direction Wismar) 🚉😀 and arrives to Hamburg Hbf at 12,38 AM (changing train in Holthusen). The trains are takeable with the Deutschland Ticket. The trip will last 2 days. You can bring your own food🍔 and drinks🥤 or take something in Hamburg. It is better if you use the Saturday morning trip on the train to eat, so when we arrive to Hamburg at 12,38 AM, we have time to visit the city. My plan is, to come back to Berlin, to take the train on Sunday at 15,21 from Hamburg Hbf, but everyone is free to come back earlier or even later. **What we visit on Saturday: the Hamburg City** * Altstadt of the city with its streets, canals 🌊 and bridges 🌉 * Alsterfontäne ⛲ * St. Nikolai and St. Michaelis churches 💒 * Rathaus 🏛️ and Rathausmarkt * Speicherstadt Harbor Area and HafenCity ⚓🏘️ * Elbphilharmonie with panoramic Terrace 📸 * Elbtunnel ⋒ * Elbstrand ⛱️ After about 7PM, when we finish visiting the places mentioned above, we can divide and each group can decide what to do for the evening and night ⏾ For the night: EVERYONE CAN DEDICE AND MUST TAKE HIS/HER OWN ACCOMMODATION 😊😊 (I am not responsible for this) Then we meet again on Sunday morning at the Hamburg Hbf at a given time (I will share on Whatsapp) **What we visit on Sunday: the Fischbeker Heide Natural Reserve** * We take the S Bahn train from Hamburg Hbf to Hamburg-Neugraben (Deutschland Ticket valid) * We make this Hike in the Natural Reserve 🌿🌲: https://www.komoot.com/tour/3111054488 * We take a couple of breaks during the Hike (it must be relaxing) We finally come back to Hamburg Hbf with the S Bahn. to later on come back to Berlin ☀️☀️ I do not provide a "personal support" for people who do not take the indicated train from Berlin to Hamburg. Thanks for understanding. If you have to contact me, make it via Whatsapp, not here on Meetup. By day, hike scenic routes, explore charming villages, and visit traditional alpine farms. By evening, savor local cuisine, experience Swiss culture, and unwind with unforgettable group moments. Hey everyone! I’m so excited to welcome you to Central Switzerland this summer and show you the true heart of the Vierwaldstättersee region. Forget the standard postcard views. I’m taking you deeper into the lakes, mountains, and villages to experience Switzerland the way locals actually live it. By day, we’ll explore scenic lakeside walks, take beautiful boat rides across Lake Lucerne, wander through charming villages like Weggis and Vitznau, ride up iconic mountains like Rigi, and discover hidden corners of Canton Schwyz that most travelers completely miss. By evening, we’ll slow down with local Swiss food, relaxed lakeside aperitifs, and unforgettable sunsets over the lake and mountains. Think cozy dinners, alpine atmospheres, and laid-back group moments under the stars. We’re talking crystal-clear lakes, dramatic alpine peaks, peaceful valleys, and scenic cable cars connecting it all together. **🌿WHY COME ALONG WITH ME?** Central Switzerland in summer is pure magic. The Vierwaldstättersee region brings together everything Switzerland is famous for: mountains rising straight from the water, historic villages, and incredibly peaceful nature just minutes away from each other. I’ve designed this route to go beyond the typical tourist spots and into the quieter, more authentic side of the region. Along the way, we’ll include hidden gems, local traditions, and spontaneous stops that you won’t find in guidebooks. This journey is perfect for travelers who prefer spending quality time exploring a region rather than rushing from one destination to the next. Instead of constantly changing locations, we take time to truly experience the landscapes, villages, culture, and atmosphere that make Central Switzerland so special. Picture this: swimming in clear alpine water, walking through quiet forest trails with mountain views, riding historic boats across the lake, and ending each day with golden sunsets and Swiss comfort food. This trip blends: 🏔️ Scenic mountain experiences 🌿 Relaxed lakeside summer vibes 🧀 Authentic Swiss food & culture 🚠 Cable cars & panoramic viewpoints 🚤 Boat journeys across Lake Lucerne 💎 Hidden villages & local experiences Whether we’re exploring alpine meadows, discovering small Swiss farms, or enjoying peaceful evenings by the lake, this is the perfect slow summer escape into Central Switzerland. ✨**WHAT ARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS?** 🏔️ Mount Rigi Experience – panoramic summit views over Lake Lucerne and the surrounding Alps, reached by scenic mountain railway 🚤 Boat Journey on Lake Lucerne – one of Switzerland’s most iconic lake crossings with breathtaking alpine scenery 🌿 Lakeside Riviera Villages – relaxed promenades, swimming spots, and summer atmosphere along the shoreline 🏡 Hidden Swiss Villages around the lake – authentic rural landscapes, traditional architecture, and untouched local culture 🌊 Seelisberg Panorama – elevated viewpoints overlooking the entire lake region and surrounding mountain landscape 🏞️ Stans & Buochs Region – peaceful lakeside towns with a slow, local Swiss rhythm of life 🧀 Swiss Cheese & Farm Experiences – visits to local producers and traditional alpine food culture 🌅 Sunset Aperitifs & Lake Moments – relaxed evenings by the water with mountain and lake views **📅TRIP DETAILS** **📍 Start & End Date:** Wednesday, 19 August – Wednesday, 26 August 2026 **📍 Meeting Location & Time:** Meet directly at the accommodation in **Lucerne** anytime until latest **7 PM on Wednesday** **Note:** Exact accommodation details and meeting instructions will be shared with confirmed participants closer to the trip date. **📍 Finishing Location & Time:** Lucerne Train Station at approximately **9 AM on Wednesday** **Note:** If you are arriving earlier or later or have special request, please do let us know and we can make relevant arrangements from our end. **🥾 Walking / Activity Level: Easy – Relaxed pace:** * Short scenic walks (max 1–2 hours) * Lakeside promenades * Light mountain trails * Optional panoramic walks **🚐 Transport:** Private van, boats, mountain trains & cable cars ✅ **What is included?** * Community leader & local English speaking guide for the entire duration of the trip. * 7 nights shared accommodation in different Locations. The day remains flexible, with space for calm moments in nature and easy movement through the region. * In the afternoon, we continue through the valley landscapes and return toward the lake region for a relaxed evening. * Expect authentic Swiss countryside, quiet valleys, and a slow travel day off the main routes. * Overnight in the lake region. **🟢 DAY 5 - BRUNNEN → FLÜELEN → SEELISBERG PANORAMA** * Today, we continue along the lake and travel into one of the most scenic panoramic regions above Lake Lucerne. * We start in the Brunnen area and drive along the lakeshore toward Flüelen, enjoying beautiful views of the water and surrounding mountains along the way. Lazy Friday swim

Lazy Friday swim

Fri, Aug 7, 7:34 AM
From Berlin Cycling
4.9

========== FACTS ========== ROUTE: Templin > Lübbesee > Gollinsee > Joachimsthal LEVEL: Intermediate DISTANCE: 30ish kms MEETING POINT: 09:30 - Berlin Südkreuz ========== FACTS ========== ========= DETAILS ========= **ROUTE:** This is a lazy Friday ride to TWO crystal clear lakes. The first lake even has a "Beach Bar"! While we just hop into the first, we will hang out on the second lake for about 2-3 hours. Later we try to get some food in the "[Zum Kaiserbahnhof](https://zum-kaiserbahnhof.de/)" before we head back to Berlin. It is also called "…Lazy Friday…" ’cos I’m to lazy to plan and write a new description each Friday! And since hosting events brings not only joy (sometimes) it also causes (sometimes a lot) of stress. So the minimum number of attendees is 6 that it makes sense to go in a group. **\>\>\> Oh\, and if the weather is not nice so am I \(means I may cancel if its not really "swim like"\)\. Final decision is made on Thursday\.<<<** **MEETING POINT:** 09:30 - Berlin Südkreuz, on platform 4 for RE5. I have a blue Villiger Trekking bike. But you can hop in at any other station if you want (and dare). **WAY OUT:** 09:34 - dep. Berlin Südkreuz, platform 4, taking RE5 to Grimmen 10:13 - arr. Oranienburg, platform 24, switching trains 10:23 - dep. Oranienburg, RB12, platform 20, 11:18 - arr. Templin Stadt **WAY BACK:** 18:08 - dep. Kaiserbahnhof Joachimsthal, RB63 18:30 - arr. Eberswalde, switching trains 18:52 - dep. Eberswalde, platform 4, taking RE3 19:39 - arr. Berlin Südkreuz We can try to get the 16:08 train but that depends on the mood and water temperature. **TICKET:** I'm tired of organising a BBT and don't get the shares back. So everyone is getting its own ticket. A "[24-hour ticket bicycle VBB network](https://www.vbb.de/en/tickets/tickets-for-your-bicycle/24-hour-ticket-bicycle/)" ticket which is about 7,50 EUR, migt be useful. **SPEED:** Leisurely around 14 km/h, at least if the wind doesn't come from the front. This is like "Being able to see the details on the side of the road and enjoying the view in general… and have a chat." **DISTANCE AND TERRAIN:** This is an about 30ish km ride, with mainly mixed and soft but also some solid ground. In general: Bikes with thin tyres (Race bikes, Road bikes, Fixies), rented bikes (Uber, Swapfiets) or any special bikes (Folding bikes, BMX etc.) are not suitable! You won't have fun, trust me! And if you want to bring Kids or Animals please get in touch before! **RECOMMENDATIONS:** Check the train schedule in the morning! The DB loves to stir up the plans by changing trains on short notice! If anything happens the Meeting point is the starting point of the cycling. While we usually stop somewhere for a lunch and/or coffee please always bring your snacks but especially some drinks along! And, PLEASE make sure your bike is in a proper state! Check your tyre pressure and oil the chain! Does your light work? Having a toolset is highly recommended and a spare inner tube to fix a flat tyre a big plus! While we might be able to help in some circumstances please think about what happens if we can't! Thank you! Bringing special equipment (Helmet, safety vest etc.) is NOT required but welcome if you feel more safe using it. ========= DETAILS =========
