### Exploration, Exhilaration, And Eleanor! Get ready for non-stop whiffs of sweet pine as you hike the startingly beautiful coastlines of Maine and Acadia National Park. This 7-day women’s trip takes you far away from a world where everyone needs you… and it includes a sneaky visit into Canada. It all starts in Portland, Maine where we rendezvous, exchange bff necklaces, and hop in the SHE-nanigan Shuttle to our first hike… which is THE best hike. We’ll scale the famous iron rungs of The Beehive, peer into the crystal-clear waters of Bowl Pond, and gape at stunning shoreline cliffs as we explore Gorham Mountain and Sand Beach. Next we’ll scramble the summits of The Bubbles, eat our body weight in seafood in Bar Harbor, and spend an entire day exploring Acadia via sea kayak. Bald eagles, porpoises, otters, and seals send their love and may even pose for a photo thanks to the glorious nature freaks leading our aqua-safari. We’ll tiptoe into the quietside of Acadia, where crowds never reach. And you’ll get your unmissable photo of Somesville Bridge, dammit! At the end of each day, you’ll rest your gorgeous head at our epic Glampsite. Enjoy real beds, ensuite bathrooms, hot showers, good coffee, and the best laughs of your life. Leave the cooking and the backcountry picnics to us. When we leave our Glampsite after four nights, we’ll enjoy one more hike along the Bold Coast Trail, brimming with badass drop-offs and gorgeous views of the Bay of Maine. We’ll break for beers and battered cod in the darling seaside town of Lubec, Maine. And then we’ll whip out our passports to casually cross into Canada like it’s another Tuesday. August 13, 5:30am Learn how to identify, use, and sustainably harvest the bountiful seaweeds. Harvest up to 10 lbs of seaweed to take home and enjoy. From ancient times to the present, seaweeds have been used by coastal people all over the world to nourish themselves and their gardens, as well as for health issues. The Sonoma coast is incredibly rich in seaweeds that can be used as food and medicine. We will gather on the beach, review some common edible species, and head to where the sea meets shore to access and appreciate the abundant marine meadow growing on our coast. Little Lakes Valley and a million lakes in the Southern Sierra Nevada

AAAHHHHHH! Backpack to Little Lakes Valley in the magnificant southern Sierra. The first night will be spent at the backpackers camp at the trailhead at just a bit over 10,000 feet so you might run into altitude issues. PHOTO: Cottonwood Lakes. MEETUP LOCATION: backpacker overnightg camp at Mosquito Flat Trailhead I have one slot open for thew trip which includes members from the Redding meetup group, NorCal Wild. From backcountrycow: Sitting at 10,215 ft, Mosquito Flats is one of the highest trailheads in the Sierras! Since we were starting so high already, there was not too much elevation to climb, making this trail a great destination for families and children. After about 0.6 miles near Mack Lake, we passed the junction for Mono Pass on our right, which also heads to Ruby Lake. Right away you are treated to spectacular views of mountains in the distance and lots of colorful wildflowers on the side of the trail.Tired of lakes yet? I'm pretty sure this one backpacking trip holds the record for the most number of alpine lakes visited in one trip. We decided to have lunch on one of the rocky peninsulas that juts out into Chickenfoot Lake (10,789 ft) and has an insane view of the surrounding meadows and mountains. The five peaks visible from our lunch spot from left to right were: Rosy Finch Peak, Pyramid Peak, Bear Creek Spire, Pip Squeak Spire, and Mt. Dade. The river that flows through the peaceful meadow was also intensely popular with fisherman, and this seemed to be the turn-around spot for most day hikers. However, we continued on to Gem Lakes (10,915 ft), only a mile further up the trail and 4.2 miles from the start of the hike. The largest of the three Gem Lakes had a brilliant aquamarine color and would be our home for the next 2 nights. A Friday In The Canyon

Glen Canyon is a unique feature in the city - a peaceful oasis - and we haven't spent much time there recently, even though we often start roams from Glen Park. This Friday roam will take us from the south of the canyon to the north alongside Islais Creek, and back along the side of the hill. If we get lucky we might see a pair of coyotes as we did last time we were up on the slopes. In any case, we will sit on the rocks overlooking the creek valley. We will also have time to visit a couple of the famous dirt roads in the village. There will be a couple of climbs and plenty of dirt on the way round. *Bringing water, snacks, and layers for all the microclimates is the way to go.* *These roams are offered by donation. They are one way I am able to pay my rent in San Francisco.* *Punctuality is always appreciated, for the sake of everybody's time. Please send a message on the app before the start if you are running late, and we will either wait (up to ten minutes) of I will direct you on how to catch up. Once we get underway I have to focus on those who are there, and most likely won't respond.* *Generally half the people who sign up don't actually show up on the day. I do track flakiness and remove people who have a poor attendance record.
