**Be on time.** Get ready quickly. Let's maximize our time on the water. Bring a towel and a warm change of clothes! You will get wet. **Prerequisites for all:** * You have attended one of our kayak or paddleboard trainings this year or last year and want to help cove patrol during embayment We welcome all volunteers, but priority will be given to those who have volunteered two or more shifts in 2026, have done a wet exit, and have a time trial of 19 minutes or less. **TIMELINE** * 6:15 PM - Meet at HCCB. Surf City: Novice Volunteer Trip - 6.5 miles total

If you RSVP yes, please consider this a **commitment to attend**. If you cancel or no-show, you take a spot away from someone else. **The host keeps the right to temporarily or permanently ban you from their meetups if you cancel within 12 hours or are a no show.** \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* **Surf City: Novice Volunteer Trip - 6.5 miles total** Let's go to Surf City! We'll paddle along Hoboken and Jersey City and land right before the NY harbor. You'll enjoy amazing views and even get a glimpse of Lady Liberty from the water. If for some reason there isn't enough dock space, we'll turn around and land at the park on Morris Canal. Please be mindful of others and arrive on time. **Check the cut off time to arrive under the timeline.** Check the prerequisites, things to bring, craft prerequisites and detailed timeline all below. Make sure you are okay with everything below before RSVPing. **PREREQUISITES TO RSVP** 1. Volunteered **at least** once for a 2026 embayment shift with our boathouse **AND** 2.
