Welcome to the very first gathering of the Bed-Stuy Book Club. This is a community-centered book club for readers in and around Bed-Stuy who want thoughtful conversation, new connections, and a shared love of books. For our first meetup, we’re keeping it simple: come meet fellow readers, talk about books you’ve loved recently and help choose future reads. You do NOT need to read anything beforehand for this first event. Whether you’re an avid reader or trying to get back into reading regularly, you’re welcome here.

She says it's a sexy sapphic book about a couple that fake date for a reality tv show. Fun! Quick housekeeping note: Scammers have been using the name of Smutty Book Club and its organizers to invite people to for-profit events. **If you receive any solicitation for an event or receive communication outside of Meetup asking for money, then it is a scam.** Please let us know if you see anything suspicious. Manhattan Smutty Book Club - Ice Planet Barbarians

It's finally happening. Rumor has it the print version available at Target is edited to better match the tone of the series. It would be cool if someone could pick that book up so we can compare. Here's what the author says: *You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet. And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...* Please join us at Cornerstone Tavern, 961 2nd Ave, New York, NY (51st and 2nd) for great conversation, laughs, and friendship. Look for our signs, and listen for the laughter. We are often in the back of Cornerstone behind the curtain, which is actually a different restaurant called the Stags Head. We start at 7pm, but feel free to come early before happy hour ends at 7. People usually start to drift in by 6:30pm.

Join us as we watch the UEFA Champions League final at Zeppelin Beer Hall. It’s a great venue with a lot of screens and a good atmosphere.

June Book Club!

7 AM Ready - Asphalt Green (UPPER EAST SIDE)

This game is INTERMEDIATE - meaning it's a fun kickaround with a mix of skill levels but all players have experience. It's great for anyone looking for a quality game with laid-back people in a no-pressure environment. Not for beginners. Please show up early so we can kick the game off in time. Please bring a WHITE and DARK T shirt so we can divide up teams. Format and Rules: • Games are full field with 2 teams of 10 players, rotating goalkeepers, and full-sized nets. Everyone gets equal playing time and no one sits on the sidelines (unless you want a break). • Feel Good games means that we don't play to win - we play to get a great workout, enjoy the friendly competition, and maybe even show off some skills :) • No slide tackles or rough challenges allowed and no barking at other players. The goal is have a great game and leave with good vibes. • As guests of Asphalt Green we must act responsibly at all times. start on time, please be there 10-15m before. No sliding tackles, no metal CLEATS, no offside, large goals 7v7 games. Games are set up for 2 6v6 or rotation 8v8 games (24 attendees) If games are full, they are full. Be on time and remember the waiting list is not at all a guarantee to play! People on rsvp list we can surely accommodate but that’s pretty much it. Cancellations: You have until 10pm the night before the game to change your RSVP to No. Anyone updated their RSVP past 10 gets a two week ban. Team Breakouts: These go out the night before the game at 10pm. No Shows Get Banned: 2 week match ban no questions asked. I don't care about how many excuses you have. : I'm here to tell you right now, we don't care. Ball: if you over shot the ball and it crosses the fence to the river you'll pay a 65$ for the same 2022worlcup ball so please play friendly and smart. Bring a positive attitude and will check you on the field
