Most history tours in Barcelona focus entirely on Roman ruins, Gothic cathedrals, and buildings created by Gaudí. This tour looks at the same streets but asks a completely different question: Where did the money come from to build this city, and whose stories were erased to tell the official one? Led by Angie Molina (an architect, museologist, and researcher) and Camila Opazo Sepúlveda (an archaeologist, anthropologist, and researcher), the walk unpacks the deep, often hidden connections between Barcelona and the global colonial system. Some of the themes and history we will explore include: \- The Architecture of Wealth \- Human Zoos in the City \- Statues and Public Memory \- Resistance and Agency 🗺️ About the Tour This project is run by two women PhD researchers from South America. They pull back the curtain on Barcelona's traditional history, exploring the hidden colonial ties, wealth, and global stories built right into the streets we walk every day. 📅 **The Details** **When**: Saturday, July 4th at 18:00 (6:00 PM) **Language**: English 🇬🇧 **Cost:** €20 per person (all proceeds will directly to the guides. This is a non-profit project; 100% of the fee goes to supporting their independent academic research and keeping the project alive ) **Where:** Meeting point around Las Ramblas (details will be sent one day before the tour)
