Workshop: Looking Again Discovering Hidden Images with artist Nikolaus Rauch

Inspired by the exhibition M-irror & W-Alls, participants are invited to explore how we perceive images, surfaces, and visual traces. Using selected details from Nikolaus Rauch’s artworks, we will experiment with observation, interpretation, drawing, and color. The workshop is not about artistic skill but about discovering how people see different things in the same image. Together we will create small visual responses, share observations, and discuss how meaning emerges through perception. The Marin Art Journal Group is a casual gathering where you can create your own art, meet wonderful people, and have fun! We meet 2-3 times a month for a relaxing experience, exploring different art forms, learning from one another, and connecting as a community. Please bring your own supplies. We'll emphasize gesture drawing, making it a great chance to loosen up your sketching skills and capture dynamic movement. The class is open to all levels, including beginners—everyone is welcome!
