Mosaic Cement Project

YOU MUST RSVP/PURCHASE TICKETS THROUGH THE ACE MAKERSPACE WEBSITE: [www.acemakerspace.org/calendar](https://www.acemakerspace.org/calendar/) In this class we’ll be creating tiled mosaics in a sand base and then coating them in cement to create sturdy finished mosaic stepping stones. We’ll briefly touch on different forms of cement casting, molding, and draping’s, before spending the majority of class designing and building our mosaics. You’ll have several images available to base your mosaics on but please feel free to bring in any reference images or ideas you have! All materials are provided and we will have tons of tiles and stones available to put into the mosaics but feel free to bring any sturdy (stone or tile, maybe glass) objects that you think will go well in your mosaic and we’ll appraise to see if they’ll work out! The class will be 3 hours long, and at the end of it you’ll have between one and two finished mosaic tiles to take home! Thank you for visiting our group - Charcoal Drawing Class! We meet on Saturdays, 5:00-7:00pm, in my art studio located in San Francisco. All are welcome, whether you are a total beginner who want to explore, learn, or just have fun... or a more experienced artist who might want to freshen your techniques, pick up where you left off a while ago, or just enjoy the experience of drawing in a group setting and share the joy of creating art. My art studio is a place for kids M-F after school and we have day camps during school holidays. We have been in business since 2019. I have decided to include adult art classes on Saturdays and Sundays, and now we have oil painting classes 2-4:30pm, and drawing classes 5-7pm. On Sundays are have soft pastels drawing classes. We will draw still life. If there's a request for a live model, please let me know! It's a wonderful place for everyone to get together safely to have fun, learn, and bring home a beautiful piece of artwork that you have created! You will sketch and create an oil pastel drawing/painting to take home at the end of the class. No drawing or painting experience is needed. Join Our Figure Drawing Class! Next Class Sunday June 7, 5-8pm Explore Short Pose and Gesture Drawing You're invited to a figure drawing class! This series of classes will focus on short pose figure drawing, beginning with quick 2-minute poses and gradually working up to 20-minute poses. We'll emphasize gesture drawing, making it a great chance to loosen up your sketching skills and capture dynamic movement. The class is open to all levels, including beginners—everyone is welcome! As always, all types of fiber artists are welcome. \*\*\* *About the Location:* Espresso Roma Cafe is an Italian style cafe with a lovely covered patio full of greenery. They offer both lighter pastry options as well as full meals perfect for brunch, and of course coffee and tea. *How to Get There:* Bus: next to stops for the 12 route. 2 blocks from the 688 route. 10-12 min walk (0.5 miles) from the 79 and 52 routes. BART: 13 minute walk (0.6 miles) from North Berkeley Station Parking: street parking available. Would recommend turning off Hopkins to a residential street like California or McGee, where your luck will be better.
