📾 Studio B/W Portrait Photography in Weissense

📾 Studio B/W Portrait Photography in Weissense

Sun, Jun 28, 9:00 AM
From Berlin Photo Community: The ISO Club
4.9

Join us for our second studio event this year, first in this new studio in [Weissensee](https://studioweissensee.berlin/), for a minimalistic session with 3 models. **Main theme:** This all-black-and-white studio session is a deep dive into the mastery of contrast and light. Instead of just taking striking photos, you will deconstruct and replicate the artistic decisions of photography’s greatest masters. You will explore how deep shadows, bright highlights, and texture shape emotion and direct the viewer’s eye. The session is divided into three distinct technical blocks based on iconic reference styles: 1. **Terry Richardson & Platon:** Minimalist sets, flat direct flash, and raw, high-contrast emotional energy. 2. **Peter Lindbergh:** Cinematic, soft yet directional window light, unretouched skin texture, and honest human emotion. 3. **Hedi Slimane:** Aggressive digital black-and-white, sharp side-lighting, and cold rock-and-roll decadence. The goal is to understand how light reveals, conceals, separates, and connects. By consciously borrowing these techniques, you will learn to use contrast as a powerful visual and emotional tool with your own subjects. **💡 Formula** This rotation-based format is built to maximize your shooting time and creative output. You’ll work across three setups, lighting styles, and models, all in a single session. * **1-on-1 Shooting:** Dedicated time with each model. * **Ready-to-Shoot:** Professionally lit, styled environments for varied content. * **Inspiring Atmosphere:** A focused chance to experiment, connect, and create alongside like-minded photographers. **đŸ‘„ Who & What to Expect** * **Participants:** Up to 12 photographers, divided into 3 rotating groups. * **Skill Level:** Intermediate and above. * **The Models:** 3 carefully selected models. * **🔗 See Our Past Events** Check out selected coverage of our past TFP events: * [Event Recap 1](https://www.instagram.com/p/C58r4z2ojQJ/) * [Event Recap 2](https://www.instagram.com/theisoclubcollective/reel/C8E17M7KyOz/) * [Event Recap 3](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6YYzKbiVax/) * **📍 Location:** [Weissensee](https://studioweissensee.berlin/) \- Streustrasse 42\, 13086 Berlin **đŸŽŸïž Payment** **Participation fee:** 50 EUR **🔄 Post-Shoot Requirements** * It is **mandatory** to share your final edited photos with the models and organizers - we recommend using [Picflow](https://picflow.com/) * Collaborate with models before sharing their photos on your social media, and always properly tag & mention them * Make sure to tag & mention us on your photos from this event using our IG handles: [@the_isoclub](https://instagram.com/the_isoclub), [@_portraitscenter](http://https;//%5B%5B%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D%5D%5D(%5B%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D%5D)(%5B%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D%5D(%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D))(%5B%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D%5D(%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D)(%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D(instagram.com/_portraitscenter)))) ✅ **Terms and conditions for participants:** [Document](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EEhcsXgInJaYgyIxnMObQnz7ZVUxp7MuGe8_fCR5Y2g/edit?usp=sharing)

*SPECIAL* Workshop

*SPECIAL* Workshop

Sat, Jul 18, 9:00 AM
From Authentic Games Berlin

**Just Triggered. Making peace with our fears.** Most of us know these moments: Something small happens. Someone says a sentence in the wrong tone, a look lands strangely and suddenly your whole system is on fire. Your chest tightens, your thoughts race, you want to run, attack, shut down, or disappear. Later you wonder: Why did this hit me so hard? Why did I react like that? Why can’t I just stay calm? Often we judge ourselves for getting triggered – or we judge others for triggering us. This workshop is for those moments and transforming the way you experience them. **The good news: Triggers are not a personal failure.** They are a natural, intelligent response of the nervous system. As Susan Campbell writes, a trigger is “a current-time cue that restimulates the sensations of a past trauma.” In other words: your body is trying to protect you from something that happened in the past, not a threat from the present moment. During the workshop, you will learn how to interrupt this automatic loop. You can learn to stay present, recognise what is happening in real time, and choose how you want to respond, instead of being swept away by old patterns. **What to expect from the workshop in detail** Over the course of the session, you will learn how to: * recognise the early signs of being triggered * understand what your body is trying to protect you from * stay connected to yourself instead of collapsing into fight, flight or freeze * communicate your experience without blaming, withdrawing or exploding * transform reactive moments into moments of clarity, connection and choice The workshop is integrating practices of Authentic Relating with methods from Susan Campbell’s work in “From Triggered to Tranquil”. **Date, Location, Price** 📅Saturday, 18th of July 2026 🕐11:00–15:30 with 30 minutes break (we will start at the full hour, please come to land up to 15 minutes earlier) 📍Deep Blue Studio, Lehmbruckstraße 26, 10245 Berlin 💰70 –120 € (sliding scale) **This workshop is for you, if you:** * often feel overwhelmed or “flooded” in conflict * tend to react quickly and regret it later * typically shut down or disappear when things get tense * feel ashamed of your emotional intensity * want to understand yourself better and communicate more clearly * long for more groundedness, connection, and self‑trust This workshop offers a warm, experiential, non‑judgmental space. You don’t need prior knowledge – only curiosity and a willingness to explore your inner landscape. **To secure your spot** Please register via sending us an e-mail to authenticgamesberlin@gmail.com **Important Note** This workshop is NOT therapeutic. Many serious triggers require trauma work, i.e. therapeutic work that can help to get to the source of the trigger and to root it out. If you need this kind of support, please seek a specialist with a therapeutic approach. During the workshop, trauma will remain an important context, but we will not be dealing with it directly. With great attention to our own needs and boundaries, we will practice communication skills that are useful when a trigger occurs. We will work on micro-triggers and glimmers (the opposite of a trigger – an event that evokes positive memories). **Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.** We are very much looking forward to be welcoming soon there! **Accessibility and diversity note** We aim to make our events accessible and diverse. We would like to explicitly welcome everybody, regardless of age, social background, identity, body shape, (dis)abilities etc. We put effort into dismantling biases and systems of oppressions we participate in as well as meeting various access needs. Feel free to contact us at authenticgamesberlin@gmail.com if you have any concerns or questions in this regard. Our events are based on talking and listening to other people in pairs, trios or bigger groups. Depending on the number of participants, this may generate a considerable level of noise in the space. The event is held in English with possible translation to German or Polish. While interacting with others in exercises you can talk in a language you choose with your partner(s). Sometimes the exercises may also involve movement (for example walking). Consensual touch with other participants is allowed but never necessary. The upcoming event is happening in Deep Blue Studio at Lehmbruckstraße 26– close to U-Bahn Warschauer Straße. The space is on the ground floor, but there is one small doorstep at the entrance. There is no barrier free toilet inside.

Was anfangs abstrakt erscheint, wird ĂŒberraschend konkret.

Sat, Jul 4, 8:00 AM
From Selbstvertrauen & Grenzen
