-please read the whole updated description!- Come to work on your own projects and get some feedback from your fellow woodchucks. We have a planer, drill presses, hand tools, a table saw, and much more! ###################### **starting June 8 we will be taking a break from the intensive power tool trainings provided in previous sessions.** For the next few weeks we want to use wood night as a time for actively working on projects and designing ideas for your projects. Happy to help with some guided use of the tools, but for now no full training will be offered. If you are new to the woodshop you are still welcome to join, just know that we will not provide a full training on the tools. If you have significant experience using a Tablesaw, mitre saw, planer etc then this should not be an issue. We do have some scrap wood available, but bringing some wood for your project, especially if it is larger or more crafty, is highly encouraged. We recommend getting your wood at Lowe’s (cheaper) Discount builders supply (closer to NB) or Beronio (higher quality and carry lots of hardwoods). Please feel free to ask questions on the discord if you are unsure about what to get for your project.

We’ll provide workspace, specialty tools, and guidance to help you disassemble and troubleshoot your item. First-time repairers and “Fixing Families” are heartily invited. Afterward we will check out the exhibit at the library of horticulture. We'll supply the know-how, the tools and libations for a fun-filled evening of up-cycling. Offered monthly at our studio in Berkeley. Please note that not all pieces can be repaired. We will evaluate on a case-by-case basis. Jewelry donations welcome - broken pieces, costume jewelry, we take it all. Used for summer camp and other up-cycling events.

Through movement, we'll explore the transition from self-judgment toward the Warrior as an ally, advocate, and source of vitality. Cultural anthropologist Angeles Arrien writes: *"The principle that guides the Warrior is showing up and choosing to be present. Indigenous societies throughout the world connect to the process of empowerment through the mythic theme and archetypal expression of the Warrior."* In this 2-day workshop, we'll dance with the archetypes who protect us. Many parts of ourselves (our critic, saboteur, gatekeeper, the one that pulls us up by our bootstraps, and more) were created to keep us safe. As we evolve, they still hold on to the same patterns and old stories. This workshop makes space for these parts, not stripping away the armor, but transforming it into tools and allies. Our critic holds a lot of power. Let's use that power to encourage, not criticize. Going from criticizing to empowering. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **Lead Facilitator – Sylvie Minot** Sylvie Minot is the executive director and founder of Syzygy Dance Project. Since 2000, Sylvie has taught weekly 5Rhythms dance classes and workshops in the Bay Area, New York, throughout the US, and Mexico. Sylvie has worked with a variety of populations, including inmates, veterans, at-risk youth, recovering addicts, hospital patients, and the general public. Sylvie Minot received her BA in Dance from San Jose State University and a Master's Degree in Theology in Spirituality and Holistic Health. She is a certified 5Rhythms® Teacher trained by 5Rhythms founder Gabrielle Roth and a Heartbeat teacher. Sylvie has studied psychology, indigenous healing rituals, energy medicine, and sound healing. The teachings of cultural anthropologist Angeles Arrien, author Caroline Myss, and Peruvian sound healer Tito La Rosa inspire her. Since 2000, Sylvie has taught weekly dance classes and workshops for various populations.
