No experience needed—just bring your open mind and let your imagination flow! Step into a calm, welcoming space where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself through colour and creative expression. This is a gentle, guided painting experience designed to support emotional release, relaxation, and creative flow—no art experience needed. You don’t need to be “good at art.” You just need to come as you are. Through intuitive painting and reflective creative exercises, you’ll be invited to explore your inner world in a safe and supportive environment. This is a space to let go of pressure, quiet the mind, and reconnect with your natural creativity. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, creatively blocked, or simply needing time to rest and reset, this workshop offers a pause from everyday life and a return to yourself. You’ll be gently guided by **Louisa Chan**, an artist and art therapist who integrates creativity, emotional wellbeing, and healing practices into her work. Free Outdoor Boxing Class — Carlingford
Sat, Jul 11, 2:00 AMWelcome to our first free boxing session. This session is beginner-friendly, but more experienced people are welcome too. **What we’ll do:** * Warm-up * Basic boxing technique * Footwork and movement drills * Pad work * Light boxing-based games (if time allows) * Cool-down **What to bring:** * Water * Sweat towel * Comfortable training clothes * Your own boxing gloves if you have them For pad work, please bring your own boxing gloves. We don’t provide shared gloves for hygiene reasons. If you don’t have gloves yet, you’re still welcome — you can join the non-contact drills, shadowboxing, footwork, and fitness parts of the session. **Important:** No sparring. This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly technique and fitness session. We’ll meet at Murray Farm Reserve. When you arrive, look for the boxing pads/straps. **Weather note:** This is an outdoor session, so if it’s raining or the ground is too wet, I’ll message attendees with an update the day before. If needed, we’ll either move to a nearby covered spot or reschedule.

Create beautiful visual artwork
Sun, Jul 12, 6:30 AMYou will be introduced to basic pouring techniques and art-theory. Followed by a demonstration of pouring paint. You get to create your own painting on a 15×20cm canvas. We then discuss how you found the experience and what you will like to try out perhaps for next time. Please note paintings usually take 3 to 4 days to copleately dry, the varnish can be applied to finish them after that to complete the artwork. If you would like to take them home on the day, please bring a tray or cardboard for ease of transportation. Wearing old clothes and sneakers to the workshop are recomended (just in case of paint spilling). Before the workshop You may like to google flow art techiques on utube, for Ideas of techniques you may like to try. Just come along and enjoy the experience and the fun in flow art.

Explore fancy shops with retro items, vintage clothing, artisanal objects, even arcana. Discover vibrant street art – out on the main street and inside hidden alleys. Listen to the fascinating stories behind some of the murals. Relax in a popular picnic spot. Make new friends in the process! **MEETING TIME:** 11:15 – 11:30 AM. **MEETING POINT:** Meet outside "Hui Bro's Cafe & Skewers", 326 King Street, 1, Newtown, NSW 2042. Right next to Newtown station entry/exit off King Street. You are welcome to buy a coffee. **START AND PROGRAMME:** We will begin at 11:30 AM, moving towards the shops on King Street, then exploring a wide variety of street art. Later, a park. **END:** We will get back to Newtown station by 2:30 PM.
