Independent Artists of London – Meet & Greet

Independent Artists of London – Meet & Greet

Sat, Aug 15, 3:00 PM
From Independent Artists of London

Welcome to the very first gathering of **Independent Artists of London**! This inaugural event is all about getting to know one another in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Whether you're a painter, illustrator, sculptor, printmaker, photographer, digital artist, curator, designer, or simply someone passionate about the arts, you're warmly invited to join us. Our aim is to build a supportive community of independent artists across London—sharing ideas, experiences, opportunities, and inspiration. There is no formal agenda; this is a chance to introduce yourself, meet fellow creatives, exchange contacts, and help shape the future of the group together. During the evening we'll discuss: * Who we are and our artistic practices. * What we'd like this community to become. * Ideas for future meet-ups, exhibitions, gallery visits, workshops, and collaborations. * Ways we can support one another as independent artists. Feel free to bring a few images of your work on your phone or tablet if you'd like to share them informally. Whether you're an emerging artist, an established practitioner, or returning to your creative practice after a break, you'll find a welcoming space here. We look forward to meeting you and beginning what we hope will become a vibrant and supportive artistic community in London. See you at POSK Gallery!

Gallery & Sketching

Gallery & Sketching

Fri, Aug 7, 9:00 AM
From London Arts & Entertainment Meetup Group
4.7

Have you ever wanted to be that person who sketches in a gallery but you're too nervous to have people look over your shoulder? Yea, I've been there. It's intimidating. You feel like you're in the room naked. I've also been the person to sit and sketch and it's one of the most rewarding activities you can do. Just you, the artwork, and a bunch of people wishing they could do the same. Come and join me on the first Friday of the month and let's go to a gallery. These will be small groups and free of charge. We'll visit a new gallery each month, hopefully free ones and we'll do an hour or so of sketching, followed by a cuppa tea afterwards. Make sure you register so I can send you all the information a few days before the event.
