How to Start Your Art Collection: Exclusive Visit to Artist Studio
Sun, Aug 2, 10:00 AMToday we look at the works of an artist who over the past two decades, has built an oeuvre consisting primarily of screen prints on paper and canvas. Prior to that, the artist had worked extensively in photography, filmmaking, and set design. The screenprinting work is informed by architecture - ancient and modern structures, calligraphy, graffiti, handwriting, and the movement of the masses through big metropolises. Other techniques on paper are included in the visit - from lithography to etching, cyanotype to woodblock printing - and more! Please note, the studio visit starts promptly at 12:00. This studio is located on the top floor and has no elevator: you will have to walk four flights of stairs. Beverages will be served, poetry may be read. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR STUDIO VISITS: Get to know a handful of carefully selected artists who are enhancing, interjecting, and challenging art history through new media, new ideas, and new formats. Every artist builds their own universe, and for one exclusive afternoon, we are welcome into their sacred space of creation. The artist will tell their story and you are free to ask questions, engage in dialogue, and leave feeling inspired - and even with a beautiful new artwork to illuminate your space!

🎨 Curated Gallery Walk – Thomas Schulte, Eigen+Art & Serpen Gallery
Sat, Aug 15, 10:15 AMJoin us for a special curated afternoon exploring 3 contemporary galleries in Mitte! At each stop, our small group will enjoy a private tour hosted by the gallery's representatives, followed by wine and bites to close. ✨ **Agenda:** 🖼️ **Galerie Thomas Schulte – RICHARD DEACON: Just Looking** Step into a solo exhibition of new ceramic sculptures and prints by the British artist Richard Deacon. Working between glazed ceramics, digital prints and painted steel, Deacon plays with surface and volume so that each piece shifts between rough and smooth, grounded and precarious — nothing quite settles into one reading. 🖼️ **Galerie Eigen+Art – CIHAN ÇAKMAK: breaking is reflection** Discover the first solo exhibition at the gallery by Berlin-based artist Cihan Çakmak. Working across photography, drawing and text, Çakmak brings together early and recent images that explore identity, memory and self-image — always held in the tension between closeness and distance. 🖼️ **Serpen Gallery – STEFAN STOIKOV & VALERIIA OSINA: Rainbow Limbo** Stoikov turns to mythology, reimagining familiar ancient stories through a contemporary lens — his goddesses wear modern clothes, and his Europa seems more interested in enjoying a day on roller skates than escaping the bull. Alongside Osina's work, the show trades drama for confidence, humor and optimism. 🍷 Wine and bites to close, together as a group. 📍 **Meeting Point:** Galerie Thomas Schulte, Charlottenstraße 24, Berlin 📅 **Date & Time:** Saturday, 15.08 at 12:15 💶 **Participation Fee:** €20 – private curator tours at each gallery, plus wine and bites to close. **To confirm your spot, payment is required in advance** — I'll send the payment link after you RSVP. ⚠️ **Limited Spots:** Due to high interest, we now limit the number of participants to ensure a great experience. Only confirmed and paid RSVPs will hold a spot — if you can't make it, please cancel so someone on the waiting list can join. ⏰ **Respect & Punctuality:** Please arrive on time and be respectful of the group and the spaces we visit. Let's make it a beautiful shared experience! 📌 **RSVP Required!** Looking forward to exploring Berlin's art scene with you 🌿🎨 *** ✅ **Event Info & FAQ** **🕐 How long will it last?** The full experience runs approximately 3 hours, including the wine and bites close. **💶 Payment — How do I pay?** To confirm your participation, please complete payment via the link I'll send you after signing up. Please note this event has limited capacity, so advance payment is required to guarantee your spot — payment on the day isn't possible. **🥐 Can I join only part of the route?** No — it's one full shared experience across all three galleries. **❗ What if I show up without signing up?** Unfortunately a spot can't be guaranteed. Only confirmed RSVPs are accepted. *** ✨ This walk is hosted and curated by Yuliya, founder of Berlin Ladies Art Culture — a growing community of over 2,000 women passionate about art, culture, and meaningful connection. With a background bridging hospitality, real estate, and creative studies, Yuliya has lived in Ukraine, France, China, and now Berlin — and most recently completed studies at Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. She curates experiences that blend art history, conversation, and exploration — always with the goal of making culture feel alive, shared, and inspiring.

Printmaking with Cyanotype
Mon, Aug 10, 4:00 PMLearn how to turn your drawings and photos into handprinted cyanotypes: deep blues, a spectrum of tones, and that unmistakable analog feel. What is this workshop about? Most people know cyanotype as "sun prints": a leaf on paper, leaving a pale silhouette. But once you know how to control the exposure, it becomes far more expressive. Working with shades of grey, a single print can hold up to 7 distinct tones, turning cyanotype into a beautiful way to reproduce your own art. Even from a digital image, the result comes out warm, nostalgic, and unmistakably hand-made. **Who is it for?** All levels. No digital skills required: the hand-drawn method needs nothing but your hands. **How does it work?** In this workshop you'll coat your own paper with cyanotype solution, prepare an illustration/design, expose it under UV light, and rinse it to reveal your prints. Everyone leaves with their own finished pieces. **How will you create your prints?** * By hand: drawing on tracing paper with colored pencils and crayons, or layering pieces of semi-transparent paper. * Digitally: preparing a grayscale file (Photoshop / Illustrator / Procreate), which we print onto tracing paper on the spot **What will you learn?** * How cyanotype works: its strengths and its limit * Choosing the right papers, coating them evenly with solution, and controlling the result * Preparing a hand-drawn negative on tracing paper * Preparing a digital file: the right grey values, how to set it up, and how to turn a photo into a cyanotype negative * Exposure under UV lamps, rinsing, and drying **What should you bring?** * Simple sketches or image ideas, monochromatic, with up to 7 tones * If you want to work digitally: your own laptop or iPad **What's provided?** * All materials are provided: solutions, papers, tracing papers, drawing materials, brushes, and UV lamps. * You take home your prints. * Ready-to-use cyanotype kits will also be available to purchase on the day. **What language is it in?** The workshop is held in English. **Where do I get my tickets?** You can get your tickets [here directly from Ron Nadel. ](https://www.tickettailor.com/events/ronnadel/2303158)
