Join us for a discussion (not a screening) of two landmark films by French director Alain Resnais: Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959) and Last Year at Marienbad (1961). We’ll explore how Resnais fractures narrative time, blurs memory and imagination, and pioneered a modernist film language that still influences cinema today — from the traumatic, elliptical romance of Hiroshima Mon Amour to the dreamlike, ambiguous puzzle of Marienbad. Join us for a members-only screening of Joachim Trier’s *The Worst Person in the World* at the intimate Champagne Video Cinema and Bar. Joachim Trier’s sharp, funny, and deeply empathetic romantic drama follows a young woman as she grapples with love, ambition, and the chaos of her late twenties and early thirties in Oslo.
