From AI First Mindset for Business Users

This is interactive, not a lecture. Plenty of time built in for questions, and other attendees are welcome to bring their own show and tell: a tool you built, a workflow you automated, a problem you solved. Good for: Business owners and operators who want to see what “build your own” looks like in practice, not in theory. Technologists who want the business side of the story: requirements, tradeoffs, and where a custom build beats buying another SaaS subscription. Bring a real problem. Brick-and-mortar owner drowning in inventory spreadsheets. Realtor or service business owner buried in scheduling. Marketer wanting to use Claude to actually make sense of Google Analytics instead of staring at a dashboard. All welcome. Come for the networking, stay for the ideas you can use Tuesday morning. Pizza and drinks included. $35 per person. Two hours, Monday evening.

RSVP for Best of the Bay Business Referral Exchange!

From Best of the Bay Business Referral Exchange
5.0

We meet almost every Wednesday of the year; if we are "dark" for any reason (usually limited to Christmas and New Year's Day weeks, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and sometimes the 4th of July week), you will be told as a response to your RSVP. We recently started meeting in person the 1st Wednesday of each month in downtown Oakland at an "Oakstop" location at 1721 Broadway #201 (street level; doors face sidewalk on Broadway). Metered on street parking (you can pre-pay before 8am, which is when charging for time actually begins; most close-by metered spaces are limited to 60 minutes though it might be possible to extend time via a parking app). There are also parking lots in the area. On all other Wednesdays each month we meet online via Zoom. When you RSVP for a meeting after your request to meet with us has been approved, or at the time of your initial request, please include a short description of your business and also include your contact information in case we need to reach you before the meeting. You can attend our chapter twice as a visitor (this Meetup group seeks to find visitors to our group as a first step toward formally joining Best of the Bay) before submitting a formal application to join. Please also let us know how many guests you want to bring and tell us something about what is/are their professions.

Build an AI Teammate for Your Business Workflow

Build an AI Teammate for Your Business Workflow

Fri, Aug 7, 4:30 AM
From Optimize Your Workflow: Build Your AI Teammate

**Bring one recurring business problem you want to improve, and build a working AI teammate with Zero.** Many founders and small business owners know AI could help, but do not know where to begin. In this small-group workshop, we will help you identify the bottleneck behind a real business task, decide whether AI is the right solution, and choose a practical first workflow. It could be finding leads, drafting follow-ups, preparing client updates, summarizing meetings, creating reports, organizing project information, updating tools, handling repetitive admin work, or supporting creative production. We will start with the problem, not the tool. Once we clarify the opportunity, we will show how Zero, an AI teammate, can help turn that workflow into a first working automation using the tools your team already relies on. You do not need a technical background. Bring your laptop and one real challenge. **You will leave with:** * **A clearer understanding of the problem** * **A concrete first AI opportunity** * **A practical next step for testing it** Participants will receive complimentary Pro access to continue exploring their workflow after the session.
