Walk and discuss how we get to a brighter future together. Dear massively multi-disciplinary, systemic change community in the SF Bay of people in the process of changing the world who happen to hike: I am pleased to say that we have found a time when we can convene for a hike. This hiking tradition began years ago when David Hodgson, and I, Bobby Fishkin, started gathering multi-disciplinary collaborators for hikes. Do you have an inter-disciplinary interest addressing global challenges and in reaching a future fit for our future selves? Do you want to de-risk hypothetical ways to change the world in real time together? Do you think about how impact investing can scale? Are you an social innovator? Are you a solar punk? Are you a systems change leader? Are you a multidisciplinary agent of change? Come join our conversation while hiking. Hiking is good at creating rhythms of thought, pace of mind, and a social cadence for collaborative creativity and improvisational thought. Its also essential to ensure your thinking is cumulative with other disciplines and patterns of understanding. Sunday July 26th hike please meet at 3pm. Join us for our hike by meeting at the Legion of Honor steps. We will have a good hike. Please let us know if you will be joining so that we know to look out for you. Spec-Driven Development: The Rise of Builder PMs

Spec-Driven Development: The Rise of Builder PMs

Fri, Jul 24, 1:00 AM
From ProductTank SF
4.7

**Code got cheap. Clarity hasn't.** AI coding agents can now build almost anything you describe. The old bottle neck of writing code is gone. The new one is saying what to build clearly enough that an agent builds the right thing. This is the shift behind spec-driven development. Instead of prompting an agent and hoping, teams write a spec first: the behavior, the constraints, and what "good" looks like. The agent builds against it. In a world of disposable code, a long-lived spec becomes the artifact that matters most. Product managers have always turned ambiguity into something a team can ship. The PRD is used to align people. The **spec** **aligns** **people** ***and*** **agents**. This is the rise of the **Builder PM**: a product leader whose judgment is precise enough to direct a fleet of agents. Join ProductTank SF and Workato for a panel on spec-driven development and how it works inside real teams. **Key Takeaways** * How **spec-driven development** works * Why the PM role changes when **clarity** is **scarcer** than **code** * **PRD → Spec** and what that means for how you write requirements **The Panelists** * **Chris Butler** is Director of Product Operations on GitHub's Synapse team, where he leads experimentation in AI-powered process automation. He has held product roles at Microsoft, Waze, KAYAK, and Facebook Reality Labs. * **Swetha Sridharan** is a Principal Product Manager at Workato, the automation and integration platform. She builds AI-driven products that orchestrate work across an organization's apps, data, and agents. * **Albert Collell** is a Senior AI Product Leader at Qurrent and teaches product management at Stanford. He uses AI to raise decision quality and turn complexity into clarity at scale. **Special Thanks to our Generous Sponsor** **Workato**: the AI-powered automation and integration platform that lets teams orchestrate work across their apps, data, and agents. Thank you to Workato for hosting us and providing food and drinks. *Attendance will be first-come, first-served. We will close doors once we reach capacity; arrive early to secure a spot.*

Act quickly before the remaining spots disappear. **👇 FAQ:** **Q: How does the matching technology work?** A: Our matching system was developed by Dr. Frankie after nearly 20 years of LGBTQ+ matchmaking experience. Before the event, you share your preferences on age range and where your ideal date falls on the masculine-to-feminine spectrum. Our system then prioritizes speed dates with people who align with those preferences, creating a more intentional experience than traditional speed dating. While the technology improves compatibility, it does not guarantee every match will be your ideal type. **Q: Who is this event for?** A: Our Lesbian, Bi, Trans, & Queer+ Speed Dating events are designed for lesbian, bisexual, nonbinary, and genderqueer folks who want to connect, flirt, and see where things go. These events are proudly trans-welcoming. Kindness is required, respect is non-negotiable, and intolerance of any kind is a no-go. We ask everyone to honor names, pronouns, and identities so all attendees can feel comfortable being themselves. Anyone unable to do so may be asked to leave. This is a 21+ event, with adults of all ages encouraged to join. Come with an open mind, a good attitude, and maybe a little spark. We’ll handle the rest. **Q: What happens during the speed dating event?** A: You will have up to ten one-on-one conversations that last five minutes. After each date, you privately note whether you would like to connect again. The system then identifies mutual matches after the event. **Q: What should I do after the event ends?** A: We encourage you to stay after the event, mingle, and support the venue. It's a chance for great conversations, new friendships, and connections that go beyond the event. Your continued presence can make the experience even more memorable, and some of the best conversations happen after the structured portion of the event ends. **Q: How can I connect with my matches after the event?** A: After the event, you'll receive the contact information for your matches, allowing you to take those promising connections to the next level. **Q: Can I come alone?** A: Yes. Most people attend solo. Speed dating is designed to make meeting new people easy, even if you arrive on your own. **Q: What if I am shy or new to dating events?** A: That is very common. The structured format helps take the pressure off because everyone is there for the same reason, and the short conversations make it easier to break the ice. There is also a friendly host who guides the event and makes sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome from the moment they arrive. If you are new or a little nervous, you will be in good company. Many guests are trying speed dating for the first time. **🎟 TICKETS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT: Pay for them by clicking [HERE](http://www.eventbrite.com/e/1990826397346/?discount=Meetup).** **Need Assistance?** 📧 Email: [events@littlegaybook.com](events@littlegaybook.com) 📞 Phone: 510-254-9105 By registering, you consent to SMS updates (reply STOP to opt-out).
