RPG One-Shots—Beginners Welcome!

RPG One-Shots—Beginners Welcome!

Sat, Jul 18, 6:00 PM
From NYC Tabletop RPGs
4.9

Bushwick event at Pine Box Rock Shop (keep an eye out for a possible july 2nd event being posted soon.) We welcome everyone interested in role playing games, whether you’ve never picked up a set of dice before or you’ve been running games for 20 years. We work hard to intentionally create a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment to explore new games and old favorites. Bring your co-workers, friends, and partners, too!

We understand that it’s hard to commit to an ongoing RPG. That’s why each of our games concludes in a single session and requires no player prep or ongoing commitment. If you are looking for longer-term games, this is a great group to connect with other players and GMs who are looking for the same.

Each session, we bring several different tabletop RPGs to the table, and the options are different every Meetup! Most of them are indie and small publisher games, though occasionally you might see a game of D&D if there is demand. We've played over 50 different RPGs across more than 30 Meetups and can likely organize a table to run that obscure game you've always wanted to try! If you’re a game designer looking for playtesters, you’ll find a willing table with us. Here are some of the [games we have run](https://airtable.com/appsju3sLuh1jlkwY/shrU8KqBolq6wcw8v/tblD1hw0138xBW7vl) in the past.

Please gather at 2:00 PM to check in. Game selection will begin promptly at 2:15. If you arrive significantly later than that, we will most likely be able to find a game you can join, but there is a small chance there won’t be any open spaces left.

We strive to create an inclusive community and provide a safe space for gaming free of harmful or discriminatory conduct. Here is a link to our Code of Conduct if you'd like to learn a bit more: [http://tinyurl.com/nyctabletopcode](http://tinyurl.com/nyctabletopcode)

Game Nights: Dungeons and Dragons

Game Nights: Dungeons and Dragons

Fri, Jun 26, 11:00 PM
From Montclair D&D Game Nights

**You must register via this link in order to participant: [https://theeclecticchicboutique.com/event/game-night-a-very-fey-drag-dungeons-dragons/](https://theeclecticchicboutique.com/event/game-night-a-very-fey-drag-dungeons-dragons/)** **Price:** $20 per person Adventurers! Join us for a fun and fantastical one shot D&D campaign, facilitated by a magically whimsical Drag Dungeon Master. We embrace the quirky, the chaotic, and the downright silly. No experience necessary, we welcome players of all skill levels. We’re all about having a good laugh and creating unforgettable memories together. Players aged 16 and up are welcome to play. This is a safe space for all, including LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiverse folk. **🐲 Players will be playing the one shot The Solstice Gala:** Welcome, Dear Players, to the Seelie court’s Solstice Gala! Perhaps you’re a ranger or warlock who has harbored favor with an Archfey. Maybe you’re a native to the Fey wild looking to celebrate the Endless Sun. It’s possible, even, that you’re a mortal who has been whisked away and replaced by a changeling… who forgot they had a ticket to the Seelie Court’s largest party and now you’re filling their seat. Whatever the reason, you have earned your way into Titania’s banquet celebrating the Fey Solstice, when the Seelie Court welcomes continuous sun for the next century (in Fey time, of course). Chaos is sure to ensue– it’s the Feywild, after all. We will be playing a fully home brewed one shot in D&D 5e with an emphasis on roleplaying. Characters are welcome to be any level 5-8 and we will be using the point buy system to build our sheets. While it may be tempting to play a level 8 bard with max charisma for a social one shot, remember playing a low level fighter who can’t string elegance together to save their life might bring its own unique challenges and fun. We welcome you to the Feywild and hope you try the food and enjoy your stay! **✒️ Upon sign up:** Participants will be sent a discord invite and a consent form to fill out. This allows you to directly speak with the DM and establish what you are comfortable with in a Dungeons and Dragons game. **🎨 What Will I Be Using?** Participants will be using character sheets, dice and character models. **🎁 What Should I Bring?** Participants will need to bring their own dice (or can purchase dice at the store for 15% off), and are encouraged to bring their own models if they have them. **👪 What Age Group Can Participate In This Game?** This class is appropriate for Teens aged 16+ and Adults to participate in. **Register here: [https://theeclecticchicboutique.com/event/game-night-a-very-fey-drag-dungeons-dragons/](https://theeclecticchicboutique.com/event/game-night-a-very-fey-drag-dungeons-dragons/)**
