Hello, fellow gamers! **The Rooftop Throwdown** is an inclusive gathering of gamers open to gamers and games of all varieties! The premise is simple, come lounge with us, enjoy the sunset over the city, and meet some of the most passionate gamers this side of California! **Games provided by host:** There will be Two console gaming stations with Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Play Station 4 with games such as Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Overcooked, Gang Beasts, and more! Additionally, there will also be board / card games such as Rivals of Catan, Taco-Cat-Goat-Cheese-Pizza, Joking Hazard, and more! **Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite games to share!** Anyone may set up their own gaming console / game at any station not being used. Due to limited power access, if you wish to bring your own display, please reach out to the host for approval first. Anyone who provides a game, console, or equipment to share with others is encouraged to establish their own rules for the safe handling of their items and all participants are expected to respect and abide by those rules. If you are not bringing a console system or game, please bring a controller just in case! **Did someone say POTLUCK??** The host will be providing water, chips, and other snacks. All participants may bring any food items they wish and are encouraged to bring something shareable. Vegan friendly and allergen safe food items can be kept separate if necessary. **Players and game designers wanted for this open house style event!** Hey everyone, Chris here! Your game will be assigned to whichever session is more suitable. Very short games (20min or less) should be brought to Open Play instead. *Please note new members must come to First Play as a playtester at least once before having the opportunity to run a game.* **SCHEDULE:** Game days have 3 segments. **You do not need to come for the whole day!** However, if you are testing your own game you should stay and test at least one other designer's game as well. **OPEN PLAY TESTING** 2:00pm - 3:00 pm This is unstructured play time, ideal for very short games (20min or less), or games requiring 1-2 players. If you're a designer check in with me and then grab an available table and let people know you are looking for players. If you're a player, just sit down at a game and play! **SESSION ONE** 3:15pm - 4:15pm New Salem (Brian Henk): Figure out who the witches are and stop them from adding too much despair to New Salem! Project MILO (Colin Lucas): Project MILO (Not final name) is a sci-fi roleplaying board game set in space. Four humans, lost in space, attempt to find their way in an unknown galaxy. In this game test, 2-4 players will test initiative, action points, movement styles, basic fighting mechanics and mid fight decisions. **SESSION TWO** 4:30pm - 6:30pm Exoplanet Rush (John Conway): Exoplanet rush is a profit-making game set in the exoplanetary frontier. Players are developing a system of worlds, installing facilities on each world over four turns, competing to collect the most revenue before Terran governance arrives and the capitalist heyday ends. Dice rolling. Business planning. Interactive exchanges and services. ??? (Chris Lawrence): I'll be bringing either Crow World Domination (a co-op deck builder) or Line Go Up (a light combo building game). Scheduled sessions are the core of First Play! There is a 1 hour session and a 2 hour session. Before each session designers will be asked to give an 'elevator pitch' of their game, after which players can decide which game they want to play. Sessions are ideal for games that are 20-90 minutes. After play, be sure to leave time to give and receive feedback! **SPECIAL NOTES**: No fee to play, and you're welcome to stay and play until the store closes at 10PM. New members must come to First Play as a playtester at least once before having the opportunity to run a game. 6. If you have RSVP'd to run a game, show up for your time slot. If you do not show up for your time slot, you will get a strike against you. Three strikes and moderators will discuss next steps with you about if you will be allowed to continue running games. 7. Be respectful of other community members- give as much as you receive. Playtest other peoples' games, not just your own. 8. In the case of an unresolvable or continuing conflict, please let a moderator know so we can determine next steps. 9. You will receive a warning if a legitimate complaint is lodged against you. Ultimate Werewolf Comedy Show: Comedians vs. the Crowd

**ULTIMATE WEREWOLF COMEDY LEAGUE: COMEDIANS VS. THE CROWD** Come play—or watch—Werewolf, the social-deduction game similar to Mafia, reimagined as a live comedy tournament with professional comedians. **TICKETS - $15** Please buy tickets online here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ultimate-werewolf-comedy-show-tickets-1996182339112 Seating and onstage player spots are limited. Get tickets on Eventbrite if you’d like to guarantee your spot. There is a chance you can buy tickets at the door but they might be sold out, only way to guarantee a seat is buying in advance. Part comedy show. Part social-deduction tournament. Complete chaos. Six professional comedians who have performed at venues including The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, and the Laugh Factory will compete across three live games of Ultimate Werewolf alongside volunteers selected from the audience. A few players will secretly be assigned as werewolves. Everyone else must identify them before the werewolves eliminate the entire village. Expect bluffing, accusations, alliances, betrayals, ridiculous defenses, and extremely confident decisions based on almost no information. PLAY OR WATCH Want to play? We save several onstage game spots for audience members who want to come and compete against the comedians. Prefer to watch? That works too. Follow the mystery, root for your favorite players, and try to identify the werewolves from your seat. Audience participation is completely optional, and no previous Werewolf experience is required. The rules will be explained, and each game will be hosted so the action is easy and fun to follow. The comedians will earn points throughout the tournament. The top three will qualify to return for the next show, and the evening’s champion will close the night with a victory stand-up set. Gamers Get GAINS (Group Workout)

Hello fellow gamers! If you feel like you have been missing that support that pushes you to reach just a little harder, so have we. **Gamers Get Gains** is a gamified fitness event wholly focused on leveling up every participant’s strength, endurance, and mobility, whiles encouraging daily habits that will benefit not only our bodies, but also our mental health. **NO - you do not need to be “in shape” to feel welcome here.** **YES - you can participate no matter what your goals may be.** Health is an undervalued foundation of our daily lives and everyone deserves a chance to be supported at every stage of their journey! **Here is the structure:** There are 3 decks - **Upper Boddy, Lower Body, and Cardio.** The Group must draw 2 cards from each deck in any order. The chosen cards will specify the workout that is to be done together. All workouts are beginner friendly but If the exercise is too challenging or not challenging enough, just try your best or substitute for another similar workout. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need tips on how to modify any workout to best fit your unique needs. Hello fellow gamers and photographers! **Headshots: Photo Shoot-out** is a free-style celebration of our love for putting things into frame! Bring your camera (any camera!) and your creative eye! Each of us will act as subjects for each other, offer creative direction, and explore the insight and motivations we all bring to the table. This is a safe place for creatives to learn and experiment. Now, let's capture the moment! **Models and Subjects Welcome!** Looking for an opportunity to get some new self portraits or headshots? Got a new outfit you want to capture your best side in? Do you have inspiration and just need some one to capture it? If you're willing to get experimental, you are welcome to join this creative session, no camera required. **Lighting Gear Available** The host possesses a small array of amateur lighting gear for both studio and outdoor use, free to use by any one participating. Participants are welcome to bring their own gear if they are comfortable doing so. **Multiple Locations** The rooftop is the best place to get a cool snap of the LA skyline and catch those dreamy rays during golden hour but there is also a small studio available if the majority of participants prefer a controlled lighting environment. Tell us when you arrive and we can plan ahead for the next Headshots event! **Privacy** Though we volunteer to be subjects for each other, all subjects have the right to request any photo of them be deleted or transferred to them.
