🔝 *A high-mountain day hike in La Cerdanya, reaching the highest summit in the province of Girona and one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the eastern Pyrenees.* SEE ENGLISH TANSLATION BELOW ⤵️ 🥾 **El plan** Nos iremos a La Cerdanya para hacer una preciosa ruta de alta montaña hasta la cima del Puigpedrós, una montaña de 2.915 m situada cerca de la frontera entre Cataluña y Francia. ¡No pasa nada! Moshe ps: Cualquier pregunta, enviarnos un WhatsApp al +34 699 444 539 \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- 🥾 **The Plan** We’ll head to La Cerdanya for a beautiful high-mountain hike to the top of Puigpedrós, a 2915 m summit located near the border between Catalonia and France. The route starts at Refugi de Malniu, a mountain refuge surrounded by open alpine landscapes, pastures, streams and small lakes. From there, we’ll begin the ascent following the normal route towards Coll de Molleres, gradually gaining altitude with wide views over the Cerdanya valley and the surrounding Pyrenean peaks. As we climb higher, the landscape becomes more open and mineral, with the final section taking us towards the summit area of Puigpedrós. Reaching the top is the big reward of the day: a spacious high-mountain summit with impressive views over the eastern Pyrenees, the Cerdanya, Andorra and the French side of the range. After enjoying the summit, we’ll return towards Malniu following the planned route, with time to enjoy the mountain atmosphere, the open views and, depending on the route conditions, the surroundings of Estany Sec or the Malniu area before heading back. This is not such a technically difficult hike in summer conditions, but it is a proper mountain day: we’ll be walking above 2,000 m most of the time and reaching almost 3,000 m, so good physical condition and previous hiking experience are required. **How to sign up?** Step 1: 👋 Sign up for Meetup on the attendee list Step 2: 💰Make the payment of €40 in our website: [https://www.yepalo.com/events/hike-up-to-the-top-of-puigpedros-2-915-m](https://www.yepalo.com/events/hike-up-to-the-top-of-puigpedros-2-915-m) IMPORTANT: This is the only way to ensure a place for the activity. **🚦 Difficulty Level: Medium-high / physically demanding** This hike requires good physical condition and is suitable for people who are used to hiking for 6–8 hours in mountain terrain. Distance: 14,3 Km 🔘🔘🔘⚪⚪ Total elevation gain: +913 m 🔘🔘🔘🔘⚪ Technical difficulty: 🔘🔘⚪⚪ ⚪ Not suitable for beginners. Previous mountain hiking experience is required. 🚗 **How do we get there?** By shared private cars from Barcelona. During the booking process you’ll be invited to tell us if you have a car and how many people can come with you in the car. You can also meet us at the Refugi de Malniu at 09:20 AM. Every passenger will pay 20 euros to the driver for gas and tolls. Depending on the weather forecast and temperatures, we may decide to leave earlier from Barcelona. 🎒**Bring** * Mountain shoes (high boots are highly recommended) * Comfortable mountain clothing * Warm layer / fleece * Windproof / waterproof jacket * Sun protection: sunglasses, cap, sunscreen * Picnic + snacks * Water: at least 1.5L, ideally 2L * Walking sticks recommended (we have spare ones if needed) * Extra T-shirt to change before getting back into the cars **👥 Group Size:** Maximum of 12 participants. 🤠 **Guide**: Carla 💰 \*\*Price: \*\*€40 **🚗** Special price for the first driver: €25 If you have a car and can take 3 people or more from the meeting point in Barcelona, choose the driver ticket. The final access to Refugi de Malniu is via a mountain forest track (10KM). It is suitable for normal cars when open, but it can be bumpy in some parts and is not recommended for very low cars. ➕ **Price includes:** Official mountain guide Accident insurance + civil liability insurance ➖ **Not included:** Transportation (€20 to be paid directly to the driver) **Cancellation policy**: Change of plans? No problem! If you cancel more than 72 hours in advance, we’ll give you a 100% voucher valid for 3 months so you won’t miss out on future adventures. 🌟 Late cancellation? Oh no... in that case, full payment is required. However, if you can’t make it and we manage to fill your spot with someone else, we’ll offer you a voucher for a future activity. ✨ Extra info: If the weather's acting up, we might switch things up for your safety and maximum fun. ☔🌞 Moshe ¡YEPALO!
