Scenic San Francisco Ride
Tue, Sep 8, 5:00 PMShort Notice but I've been waiting for a hot day to schedule this ride and it looks like this Tuesday is date for which I've been waiting. It's going to be hot on Tuesday - even in the city. Lets try to stay cool by riding along the water front from the Ferry Building to Ocean Beach. Let's meet at ten, in the back of the ferry building, just outside Red Bay coffee. Our ride will take us along the embarcadero, just outside of the wharf area, around Fort mason, along Chrissy field, up to the GG bridge lookout, through part of the presidio, and finding our way to GG Park. Lunch at Java Beach Cafe across from Ocean Beach. On the way back, we'll stop at the rose garden in GG park and take the fun Wiggle, and people will either Bart back or take a ferry.

Sat, Sep 12, 11:00 PM***This ride is on Saturday 9/12/26 in SF.*** Friends - - - I know this thread was just a survey of interest, but we will also use it for the spooky night ride on the 12th. If you plan to come please RSVP "Yes" so we have the number of riders and bikes. In case you said yes "to survey" but are unable to join the ride, kindly change your RSVP from "Yes" to "No". ***+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++*** **San Francisco Ghetto Night Ride** is one of our signature rides, and the most popular among GRF regular suspects. We will be riding the hills, peaks and valleys of everyone's favorite city. We’ll zip through the ghettos, pass the mansions and view the scenery very few people get to see in a year let alone in a single evening. If you would like a cup of coffee, a light supper, or a snack, you can come earlier and join the group (place TBD, but Moto friendly). Or come few minutes before KSU time. You will be able to leave any time you get tired. We usually finish the ride before midnight. • When: **Saturday 9/12/26**, Arrive by 4:00 PM, KSU 4:15 (If you wish to have a light supper, snacks, coffee, etc, please arrive 3ish and look for us in the patio). • Where: Connecticut Yankee, [100 Connecticut St · San Francisco, CA](https://www.google.com/maps/place/100+Connecticut+St,+San+Francisco,+CA+94107/@37.7650244,-122.4003092,17z/data=!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x808f7fcc7b2b0871:0xaefbd7453a1e508!2s100+Connecticut+St,+San+Francisco,+CA+94107!3b1!8m2!3d37.764953!4d-122.39807!16s%2Fg%2F11rp1xnrk_!3m5!1s0x808f7fcc7b2b0871:0xaefbd7453a1e508!8m2!3d37.764953!4d-122.39807!16s%2Fg%2F11rp1xnrk_?hl=en&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDkwMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) • Pace: City speed limits :-) • Gear: ATGATT & Head to toe. • Motorcycle: Yes, you will need one ;-) • Route: Technical. San Francisco Hills !! About this Ride: This ride is generally within posted speed limits, but the route is highly technical, scary, spooky, challenging and -- at the same time – exhilarating, breathtaking and absolutely positively fun. We'll make a few rest and coffee breaks, but not long enough for a big meal, just what you can find at Starbucks or similar places. Feel free to carry water and snacks ;\~) NOT FOR NEWBIES: Mininum 1-2 years & 12K miles seat time recommended. If you get separated, leap frog to one of these rest stops. We will end the ride at City Hall. *Coffee/Rest stop #1* \- Safeway \(5290 Diamond Heights Blvd\) \([https://maps.google.com/?ll=37.74358,-122.437198&spn=0.004827,0.012392&t=m&z=17&iwloc=lyrftr:m,6466666468325545556,37.743614,-122.438936](https://maps.google.com/?ll=37.74358,-122.437198&spn=0.004827,0.012392&t=m&z=17&iwloc=lyrftr:m,6466666468325545556,37.743614,-122.438936)) 15 min - Starbucks & Restrooms inside *Coffee/rest stop #2* \- Starbucks Laurel Hts \(California & Spruce \- rear parking lot \([https://maps.google.com/?ll=37.786233,-122.453367&spn=0.000984,0.00618&t=m&z=18&layer=c&cbll=37.786232,-122.453368&panoid=GXoqy0pqG50jsoOpUFUHTg&cbp=11,68.54,,0,0](https://maps.google.com/?ll=37.786233,-122.453367&spn=0.000984,0.00618&t=m&z=18&layer=c&cbll=37.786232,-122.453368&panoid=GXoqy0pqG50jsoOpUFUHTg&cbp=11,68.54,,0,0))) 30 min for coffee, snacks and rest. ***+++ SPACE WILL BE LIMITED +++*** +++++++++++++++++++ **Videos of some of our past night rides:** [https://player.vimeo.com/video/72294436](https://player.vimeo.com/video/72294436) [https://player.vimeo.com/video/68881061](https://player.vimeo.com/video/68881061) [https://player.vimeo.com/video/64482249](https://player.vimeo.com/video/64482249) [https://youtu.be/I3hXRd0c0d0](https://youtu.be/I3hXRd0c0d0) [http://youtu.be/NK9wkvADVh8](http://youtu.be/NK9wkvADVh8) **Photos of some of our past night rides:** [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/25741907/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/25741907/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/21223362/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/21223362/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/10979922/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/10979922/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/1084072/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/1084072/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/22549442/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/22549442/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26403467/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26403467/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26126153/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26126153/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/21821142/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/21821142/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/17755132/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/17755132/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26757554/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26757554/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/24936772/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/24936772/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/16205172/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/16205172/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26028217/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26028217/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/8589972/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/8589972/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/19625822/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/19625822/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/30296264/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/30296264/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/23604902/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/23604902/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/29047233/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/29047233/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/14412532/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/14412532/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27992456/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27992456/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/6145932/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/6145932/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/15521582/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/15521582/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27922711/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27922711/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27830744/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27830744/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27402362/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27402362/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27208717/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27208717/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/14708762/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/14708762/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/2211521/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/2211521/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27107278/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/27107278/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26985626/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/26985626/) [https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/3207762/](https://www.meetup.com/grouprides/photos/3207762/) Many thanks, Mehran
