Camping, Hiking, and Beach play at one of the most pristine spots in the Yosemite - around Tioga Pass rd and Tuolumne meadows. Spots are limited. People can do things on their own or with the group. Limited to one more car only and any additional cars can be parked in the overflow section closeby. Please respond to all the questions when you RSVP and I'll shortlist people for lottery based on who all meet the pre-reqs. Will reach out to shortlisted people with next steps. **Your spot is confirmed only after you confirm via venmo/zelle** and there's no refund unless the trip is cancelled, so please commit accordingly. If someone can't confirm/pay within a couple of days, they will be back to No Go/WL. Same for anyone who hasn't provided the requisite level of details. * $15-25pp per day for Thursday or Sunday and $25-35pp per day for Friday or Saturday (includes camping permit and firewood) * Prior camping experience is recommended if your attendance is contingent on carpool or someone else joining, just let me know in the RSVP answers. Roaming Cayuga and Lakeview

I am very fond of this under-appreciated part of the city, and we have been roaming here for many years. On recent visits we have added [Sisterhood Gardens](https://sisterhoodgardens.org/) to the route, as they have a dahlia display probably only second to the collection in Golden Gate Park. While we are close to the freeway for much of the route, we will also be visiting some sweet lesser-known parks and viewpoints in this south west corner of the city. There will be a significant climb in the middle of the roam, and some off-roading. *Bringing water, snacks, and layers for all the microclimates is the way to go.* *These roams are offered by donation. They are one way I am able to pay my rent in San Francisco.* *Punctuality is always appreciated, for the sake of everybody's time. Please send a message on the app before the start if you are running late, and we will either wait (up to ten minutes) of I will direct you on how to catch up. Once we get underway I have to focus on those who are there, and most likely won't respond.* *Generally up to half the people who sign up don't actually show up on the day. I do track flakiness and disinvite people who have a poor attendance record. It is discourteous to those on the waitlist who would like to attend.* *Sending me a message explaining that you can't make it is always appreciated.*

Roaming Precita and the Parks

I've always been fond of Precita Park, and now that it has a new bathroom, there is even more reason to spend time there. You may not be able to name the other four parks nearby that we can visit on a Friday roam, but we will go and investigate them, on either side of Precita Creek, which lies buried under what is currently Cesar Chavez Street. We will do a bit of climbing on this one, part way up the north side of Bernal, and we will spend some of it in earshot of the freeway, though other parts will be very peaceful. *Bringing water, snacks, and layers for all the microclimates is the way to go.* *These roams are offered by donation. They are one way I am able to pay my rent in San Francisco.* *Punctuality is always appreciated, for the sake of everybody's time. Let's explore the new park on the Great Highway hike

An a opportunity to see the new Great Highway park. We will meet in front of the Java Cafe at the Zoo at 11am. 2650 Sloat Blvd. We will walk down to the restroom at Sloat Blvd and the Great Highway at 11:15. We will take our time exploring the park. ending the hike at the Java Beach Cafe. The Muni will take you to and from the starting and ending place. The L train to the Zoo The N train back Bring water, a snack and a Clipper card.

Roaming Crocker Amazon and San Bruno Mountain

On the 15th we will cross city limits and head up to the saddle of San Bruno Mountain again. On the way we will visit one of the city's less fashionable neighbourhoods, Crocker Amazon. I have been wanting to do this roam again for a while, but waited until the bathroom rebuild at the San Bruno Mountain picnic area was finished - which it now is (and I rate the new bathrooms pretty highly!) As you can imagine, there is some climbing involved to get onto the mountain, though perhaps not as much as you might think. There is also a short steep scramble on dirt to get off it. We will take a few off-road trails on the mountain itself. *Bringing water, snacks, and layers for all the microclimates is the way to go.* *These roams are offered by donation.
