The Hideout Pop-Up: Camp Olympics

The Hideout Pop-Up: Camp Olympics

Sat, Jul 11, 1:30 PM
From The Hideout

## **What are The Hideout Pop-Ups?** The Hideout Pop-Ups are small, one-day ways to step into The Hideout world without disappearing for a whole camp weekend. This includes games, creative chaos, new people, and a few hours where nobody needs to be productive. The full camp returns in summer 2027. Until then, we’re opening a few smaller doors into the world. Want the full version? Get on the Summer 2027 waitlist [here](https://tally.so/r/WOAzVP?utm_source=luma). ## Camp Olympics Time to go outside, form a team, and care far too much about an egg on a spoon. Camp Olympics is an afternoon of classic field-day games for adults: three-legged races, hula hoop challenges, team cheers, water-based chaos, silly relays, and a final tug-of-war if the park gods allow it. * You do not need to be sporty. * You do not need to arrive with a team. * You do not even need to think of yourself as competitive. But there will be a scoreboard, so I cannot promise what will happen to you emotionally. Come alone or bring a friend. We’ll mix the teams on the day, give everyone a name tag, and ease into The Hideout world before the games begin. Your ticket includes all game materials, team setup, snacks, water, tiny prizes, and a fully hosted afternoon of extremely unserious competition. ## Common Questions **Do I need to be good at sports?** Absolutely not. This is for people who loved sports day, hated sports day, or mostly remember sports day as the occasion when someone gave them a juice box. The games are simple, low-pressure, and designed so that enthusiasm, teamwork, and questionable strategy matter just as much as athletic ability. **Can I come alone?** Yes. A lot of people do. Teams will be mixed on the day, and we’ll start with a small Hideout check-in so nobody is left standing around wondering who to talk to. **Can I come with friends?** Also yes. You can arrive together, but you may be split across teams depending on numbers. Temporary rivalry is part of the experience. Your friendship will probably survive. **What should I wear?** Clothes you can move in and shoes that can handle grass, dirt, or mild chaos. Bring sunscreen, water, and whatever helps you feel comfortable outside in July. **What if it rains?** A little summer weather will not stop us, but heavy rain or unsafe conditions might. If we need to change or postpone the event, ticket holders will be contacted directly. ## The Plan **15:30 — Step into The Hideout world** Arrival, check-in, name tags, and team sorting **16:00 — Let the games begin** Camp-style games, silly relays, and suspiciously serious competition **18:45 — Tiny awards + Proof You Were Here** Very official recognition, group photo, and final team glory **19:00 — Official end** Optional drink or picnic hangout nearby afterwards The exact meeting point in Treptower Park will be shared with ticket holders before the event. **The only real rule:** Have fun, cheer for strangers, and do not leave anyone awkwardly standing alone. You do not have to be good at anything. **You just have to be game.**

Drawing Camp: 9-week Drawing Course for Beginners

Drawing Camp: 9-week Drawing Course for Beginners

Mon, Jul 20, 4:15 PM
From Berlin Art Workshops
4.4

Drawing Camp Summer Edition: It's hot, it's sunny, it's beautiful outside! The 4th round of the successful and loved Drawing Camp embraces summer as a season. The summer edition comprises of exactly the same topics as the usual Drawing Camp - but we take a mobile approach working in sketchbooks. We take our sessions outside in the park whenever we feel like it. Plus, all course materials will be available to you as recordings and digitally directly on your phone after each life session. This allows you to participate in the camp and practice drawing even while travelling and never miss a lesson! **Who is this for?** Drawing Camp is a weekly drawing course designed for beginners and for everyone who is looking for a systematic refreshment of their skills. We take a unique and holistic approach to developping your drawing skills, taking into consideration the interconnectedness of body, mind, and soul. The camp is also perfect as an afterwork activity to clear your mind and body. **Why draw?** I like to consider drawing the skeleton or grammar of visual art. It is a precise way to decipher what we see. Sketching, drawing's sibling, is a quick application of that. Drawing asks us to really understand the logic of what we see. Drawing asks us to develop a calm hand, a precise gaze, and a logical understanding of shapes and shades. * We will start by a full-body warm-up exercise, followed by a concentration meditation where we practice the skill of guiding our hand to do what our minds want. We then come to the main part of the lesson: * Practicing the depiction of particular objects, beings, and settings. As we do so, we will dive into the different techniques of applying pencil to paper (hatching, lines, smudging, creating surfaces). * Everything we see can be drawn onto paper using different approaches, and I will teach you all of them so you can understand which approach fits your individuality best (grid, eye measurement and angles, measuring with hand and pencil, becoming what you see, drawing as writing). * We will close by sharing our learnings (debrief). **What to bring:** * Comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement * A5 sketchbook * A pencil and an eraser The course consists of nine consecutive sessions, with built-in repetitions: 20.07.26 Shapes & Shades 27.07.26 Perspective 1 03.08.26 Perspective 2 17.08.26 Still Lives 24.08.26 Textures 31.08.26 Animals 07.09.26 Humans 14.09.26 Plants 21.09.26 Landscapes & Cityscapes Costs: 190,-€ plus 7% VAT Registration is open: To pre-register for the class, please email Ali at [mail@kunstraum-heartspace.de](mailto:mail@kunstraum-heartspace.de).
