carcamp/backpacking hot springs
Fri, Oct 9, 9:00 PMJoin me for a 3 day weekend where you can car camp, hike, backpack or just relax at the most popular campground in San Bernardino mountains. Hiking schedule: Friday 3 easy miles hike around the campground with option of potluck. Saturday hike or backpack to Deep Hot Springs 5 to 6 hard miles. Depending of the weather. Sunday 4.6 miles moderate to Arrowhead Pinnacles trail Monday drive back home. This event is limited to 8 people per day. Two cars per site with 3 tenths carpool is encourage. strong hikers/backpackers only. what to bring: We will share the camp fee so bring cash It will be $20 per night per person or $40 per the weekend per person. What your $ Includes: camp fee/holiday fee, campfire, and hot drink. Bring your own gear, drinking water, sun screen, hat, hiking sticks and food. If you are backpacking only you can meet us at the trail head out of the 173 Hwy. parking is free. We will hike about 2.5 miles to the hot springs. Spend the night and enjoy the hot springs. On Sunday we will come back after breakfast. (Will be edit later)

Sat, Oct 10, 2:00 AMJoin me for 3 day weekend where you can car camp, hike or backpack to the famous Deep Creek Hot springs. Dogwood camp ground is a popular Campground in the San Bernardino mountains. This event is limited to only 8 people and two cars per day and 3 tents on site. Hiking schedule: We are going to hike on Friday evening 3 miles loop around the Camground. This is easy. With the option of potluck. Saturday hike will be 5-6 hard miles to Deep Creek. We might backpack to Deep creek over night depending of the weather. Sunday we will hike to Arrowhead pinnacles Trail 4.6 miles this is rated moderate. If we’re not too tired, we can check out the town of Arrowhead. Monday will check out and head it back home. What to bring: own food and gear Carpool is encourage. Bring cash: we will share the camp fee reservation. $20 per night per person or $50 per the 3 days per person. What your $ covers: camp reservation fee and the holiday fee, campfire, & hot coco. Please sing up if you are sure you are coming. Everyone will be put on the waiting list first then will be chosen according to attendance. Priority to strong hikers/ backpackers. No respond or no comments will be drop automatically. This way will allow to others to join. You can join us for one night or two. Or backpack only. If you are backpacking only meet us at the trail head out of 173 highway. You can leave your car at Bradford Ridge path. This is the option 2 out of 3 to get there. “The Bradford Ridge Route (Free Alternative) Distance: About 5 to 6 miles round-trip. Access: Park near the end of CA Highway 173 (near Lake Arrowhead/Twin Peaks). You will climb over the guardrail to access the Bradford Ridge Path. Details: This route doesn't require a fee but involves a longer, more rigorous hike with about 1,400 feet of elevation gain. It requires crossing over into the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) before descending into the canyon. “ If you had read all the information go right ahead and sing up. Sat, Sep 5, 6:30 PM**Escape from the blistering heat this Labor Day Weekend while disperse camping in Holcomb Valley, just a few miles north of Big Bear Lake. We’ll spend the entire weekend at about 8,000’ elevation, under relatively cool, pleasant conditions.** **Thank you, Kamil and Erika, for organizing this trip!!** **Once you set up camp you’re free to just chillax, go on a hike, or go search for gold, if your soul desires.** **We have room for just a few more vehicles that can join us.** **By signing up you represent one vehicle, the number of occupants in each vehicle doesn’t matter. We’ll cover all of this. We will show how to construct make-shift shelters from tarps. Are there ready-to-occupy shelters in the woods? What sort of shelters would you be able to make in the wilderness? We’ll talk about your possible shelters ranging from the post-earthquake shelter, to ready-to-occupy wilderness shelters, to the shelters you’d build from what’s available in the wilderness. Learn about body hollows and their application and limits. Plus, bring your bowl since we’ll conclude this class with some wild food cookery! $65.
