šŸ§—ā€ā™‚ļø Kim’s Gym Before we dive into how amazing Kim's Gym Is please please send me a text at **415=401-5809** so I can add you to our meetup planning and coordination chat so we can do intros, audit who has gear, carpools and more. When you text just let me know your name and names of any vistors you want to bring! Hey climbers — I’m excited to meet those I haven’t met yet and climb again with those I have. We’ve got nine people confirmed so far, and I can take up to three more. If you know anyone who’d be a good fit, let me know and I’ll add them to the chat. *** 🪨 About Kim’s Gym Kim’s Gym (aka Kym’s Gym) sits right between Steep Ravine (The Egg) and Emperor Boulder, offering a compact zone with about a dozen bolted routes. It’s a beautiful coastal spot with ocean views, textured rock, and that classic Marin vibe — rugged, exposed, and super fun when the conditions line up. Kim’s Gym info, routes, and driving directions: https://www.mountainproject.com/area/121674226/kims-gym-aka-kyms-gym *** šŸš¶ā€ā™‚ļø Best Ways to Get There Option 1 — The Cobblestone Beach Approach (Most Direct) This is the preferred approach when tides and surf are low. * Walk down the road toward Steep Ravine to reach Cobblestone Beach. * From there, follow the rocks along the shoreline to: GPS: 37.880132, -122.622424 * Expect slippery rocks — take your time and watch the swell. * This approach is best when the tide is low and the ocean is mellow. Option 2 — Rocky Point Trail Approach (More Hiking, Less Surf Exposure) * Park where Rocky Point Trail intersects Hwy 1 (about half a mile south of the Steep Ravine cabins road). * Take Rocky Point Trail to Rocky Point Road (the road leading to the cabins). * Turn left onto the fire road heading toward Cobblestone Beach. * When you reach a pond and marsh, take the trail that drops down to the beach. * Walk past Cobblestone Beach to reach Kim’s Gym. \*Option two is so much better to get to the trailhead and super beautiful *** šŸŒ„ Plan for the Day\* We’ll meet in the morning near the Kim’s Gym trail access. Once everyone arrives, we’ll do quick intros, check gear, and hike in together. Expect fun vertical routes, great warm‑ups, and a relaxed day of climbing and hanging out. *** šŸŽ’ What to Bring * Harness, shoes, belay device * Helmet (recommended) * Water + snacks * Layers (it can go from warm to breezy) * A chill attitude *** Safety: We are not climbing guides. We are peers that knows Kim's Gym and have experience climbing since 2010 and safety is key. Once you join the meetup you dial into our liability clause which states "By participating in our events, you agree not to hold gyco organizers and fellow members responsible for your personal safety or for any harm or damages you might suffer while at a gyco event or while traveling to or from a gyco event." **Tide and surf report:** https://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/Stinson-Beach/tides/latest

Hey Climbers, Spring is right around the corner so let's get our climb on at Vent 5, along Stinson Beach so we could do some lead climbing and top roping. And hang out with safe cool peeps ;) Climbing at Vent 5 is literally climbing at the ocean level so if your new to this area it is breathtaking and a great place to climb at all levels **Communications:** We will be coordinating all communications around gear, carpools, safety, with regular weekly updates via a WhatsApp chat entitled "Vent 5 "). Text me to be added to chat at 415-401-5809. and Tell me your name! **Start time** (getting up early)The time to meet in the main pull-out where you park is around 8:30a.m. Experience shows us that if you get there past 8:30 a.m. You may not get a parking spot and may have to go up the highway or down the highway to a smaller pull-out and walk back to the main highway. If you get there late, it is your responsibility to find the trail through Mountain project and make your way down. Wear hiking boots or approach shoes that support a steep hike **What do you need??** \*Harness, helmet, grigri or atc and climbing shoes - If you have a rope, quick draws and anchor building gear, that will help. If not no worries. If you need to borrow a helmet or draws we got you \*Lunch, lunch and water - Sunscreen as it;s exposed and potent even with overcast \*There's no bathroom so toilet paper optional - Hiking or water shoes or approach shoes because it gets a little slippery on the way down and across the more wet rocks - **Carpools** It is highly highly recommended that you drive with others because the pull-out where we park is small and super competitive to get a spot So coordinate carpools in WhatsApp chat and let people know you need a ride or you can offer others rides and from where. If you are not on way maybe uber, muni or bart could be a convenient option to meet **Safety and Liability Disclaimer:** **I/We are not climbing guides. We are merely peers who have experience based on TR/lead certs, outdoor experience, classes. We share our gear if in good condition. We try to get equal ropes to pair of 2 climbers so 12 peeps - 6 ropes.** **LIABILITY WAIVER: You (& your guests) understand that rock climbing and bouldering are inherently dangerous activities and that you are responsible for your own safety. You/guests agree to release event organizers from any and all liability & damages for any injuries, death or other losses you may incur during meetup.** ***Questions? Ask in WhatsApp chat.*** **Where will be climbing?** - Initially, we will start at **Kombucha** & the **Juice Shop** and **"Vent #5"** \- All 3 areas have route levels between 5\.6 and 5\.10Dish\. \*here is mountain project for directions, map, route information etc - [https://www.mountainproject.com/area/121452881/vent-5](https://www.mountainproject.com/area/121452881/vent-5) I will break group in to 2 smaller groups. I will be chapering beginners. I will need 2 lead climbers who can lead 5.7-5.9 confidently to help set up top ropes. The other group will be more experienced so ya all can do your own project goals. But if you set up top rope we can trade crags to ensure we get on all routes we set up. **Food After** Mt Tam Juntion Pizza Hacker - Meat/vegetarian/some vegan options Let us know if you have any questions Cheers
