šŸ‘‡This workshop requires **a deposit before you attend.** Please read all below before you hit the button, and since the seats are very limited, please re-hit the attend button if you cannot come anymorešŸ‘‡ Hello art lovers, we've moved the location to the CBD, so we're more than welcome to have more people join us! For this meet-up, we’ll use water-based acrylic paints to create a small artwork that you can take home and displayšŸ‘©ā€šŸŽØ Each session includes a live demonstration from me, so beginners are absolutely welcome! The group is intentionally small, which means there is plenty of time for questions and individual guidancešŸ‘ Recent themes we've done include: 🌊A lakeside scene inspired by Ballarat 🌷A picture of flowers, "I want to display" šŸŒ‡A view of Geelong's sunset 🐶A fluffy moment Let me know what you would like to try :-) **Place** Flagstaff (šŸ‘‰The Blender Studios, meet 10 mins before the session starts in front of the cafeā˜•ļø ) **Fee** **$60 AUD** All materials included! You only need to bring: • a drink • a lunch or snack(if you need) • a bag to carry your artwork home The finished painting is approximately A5 size. **āš ļøBefore attending the sessions** If you’d like to join, please send me a message with: **1\. The last $40 fee can be paid directly on the day via bank transfer/cash, so that we don't have to pay extra fees for PayPal on this platform, hehešŸ˜‚) If you can not come after paying your deposit, please let me know as early as possible. I’ll pay it back via bank transfer. **The process when you attend** -Press the attend button and message me a little bit about yourself šŸ‘‡ -Details about the deposit and others will be provided via message(Please check your ā€œmessagesā€ tab!) šŸ‘‡ -Pay the deposit via PayID (no transfer fee) šŸ‘‡ -Your seat will be secured! (It doesn't mean your seat is secured by only pressing the ā€œattendā€ buttonšŸ™) Please check the message from me after you hit the button and if you find you can't attend a session anymore, please re-press it and show me that you are not coming, since the seats are very limited:-) I’m hoping to create a friendly space where people can enjoy making art without pressure, meet others, and leave with a painting they’re proud of😊 If you’re coming alone, don’t worry — most of the people join solo, and the group is kept small and friendly. If you would like to bring guests, please message me directly to reserve your seats. Thanks for reading, and feel free to message me with any questions😊

The Great Bayside Beach Wander 14km - Sandringham to Aspendale

The Great Bayside Beach Wander 14km - Sandringham to Aspendale

Sat, Sep 12, 3:00 AM
From Eat, Drink and Dance Melbourne
4.6

**🌊 The Great Bayside Beach Wander** **Eat Drink Dance Melbourne — Singles Only** Saturday 12 September Social lunch option: 12:00 pm Walk arrival window: 12:45 pm Departure: 1:00 pm sharp Distance: ~13.5 km Route: Sandringham → Hampton → Brighton → Mentone → Parkdale → Aspendale Age: 30+ People: Max 20 **Event Description — The Great Bayside Beach Wander** Welcome to the Great Bayside Beach Wander, a sun‑kissed, sea‑breezy, singles‑only coastal adventure for people who enjoy good company, long walks, and the smug satisfaction of knowing they spent their Saturday doing something wholesome and attractive. **Disclaimer**: I've not done this walk before so this will be exploratory for the organiser **Please note**: This event is waitlisted I will not be releasing the meeting point until the day before. I want a balanced gender mix, i.e even numbers of girls and guys. I have a creep code operating and event expectations around no shows, read on for how all this works.. We step off at 1:00 pm sharp — not ā€œBayside sharpā€, not ā€œI’m just grabbing a latteā€ sharp, but actual sharp. Please arrive by 12:45 pm if you’re walking. If you appear at 1:01 pm, you’ll witness a group of motivated humans already gliding down the foreshore like a well‑timed seabird migration. For those who want a social lunch beforehand, join us at 12:00 pm at a nearby cafĆ©. Let the organiser know if you want to have a cafe lunch or coffee first. For those who prefer to arrive just for the walk, come at 12:45 pm ready to roll. What makes this walk great? - The full Bayside coastline — uninterrupted beach views from Sandringham all the way to Aspendale. - The Sandringham cliffs — dramatic sandstone edges and postcard‑worthy lookouts. - The Hampton foreshore — wide paths, gentle breezes, and very photogenic dog walkers. - The Brighton Beach Boxes — the iconic rainbow row of huts that make everyone feel like they’re in a tourism brochure. - Mentone’s golden stretch — long, open sand perfect for chatting, strolling, and pretending you’re in a music video. - Parkdale’s quiet beauty — peaceful, wide beaches with fewer crowds and more serenity. - Aspendale’s soft landing — a calm, relaxed finish with options for drinks, snacks, or a cheeky sunset linger. Distance & difficulty - Distance:~ 13.5 km (slightly longer than 13 km) - Difficulty: Easy–moderate (flat coastal paths) - Vibe: Social, scenic, lightly cheeky, zero pressure This is a straight‑line coastal walk — no detours, no tricky navigation, just pure foreshore bliss. **Meeting point policy** Due to previous incidents of unregistered people bypassing waitlists and showing up unannounced, the exact meeting point will ONLY be sent to confirmed attendees. You’ll receive a message from the organiser the day before with the precise location. If you don’t receive it, you’re not on the list — simple as that. Who this walk is for - People who enjoy long coastal walks - People who like social, low‑pressure group activities - People who appreciate beaches, humour, and mild chaos - People who prefer IRL socialising over apps - People who can commit to being on time **Route vibe** **We** follow the foreshore path south from Sandringham, weaving througuh beaches, cliffs, boardwalks, and open coastal stretches. Expect sea air, sunshine, and plenty of opportunities to chat with different people along the way. **🧣 What to Bring** Comfortable walking shoes Snacks + water Winter layers A playful, open attitude Curiosity for strangers who might not stay strangers āš ļø **Group Rules & Event Etiquette āš ļø** **These are basic, commonsense** standards that keep events safe, smooth, and enjoyable for everyone. **šŸ’˜ Flirtation Guidelines** This is a social event, not a pressure cooker.Don’t be pushy about phone numbers — let the moment offer itself Don't send unsolicited messages, get in person permission first If the vibe is mutual, go for it Become a regular — I’ll be testing this format over 3–4 events You’ll likely see the same lovely humans again at future singles nights/events or Eat Drink Dance ā€œopenā€ events The goal is to build a small, recurring ecosystem where people feel comfortable, familiar, and relaxed enough to be themselves. šŸ‘Ÿ **Fitness** **Requirements** Walking: 3–4 km/hr. Moderate fitness. enough to walk 15 km with limited stops We walk at a relaxed pace. Please ensure you meet the fitness level for the event. If the group is forced to wait excessively, you may be asked to leave the event. ā›¹ļø **Pace: Too Fast or Too Slow** Small social events rely on staying together. If you prefer a very different pace, consider going solo, joining a faster/slower group, or choosing events that match your fitness. šŸ‘©ā€šŸ’¼ **Time** **Constraints** If you’re on a tight schedule, this may not be the right event. Social activities rarely run exactly on time. **šŸ‘„Waitlist & Gender Ratios** To keep things balanced and comfortable: Event capped at 12 people to test interest, if my star signs are in favour I may increase this to 20 Generally guys admitted only after a woman registers (to maintain ratios) at my discretion. Group regulars get priority access. **Female** **Privilege**: New Idea There is usually a waitlist of men. The first female that discretely messages the organiser gets first dibs on any guy that is on the waitlist to have him included. Assuming this occurs within 12 hours of being put into the going list. Otherwise the organiser chooses. Women can be a little flaky (we love them anyway), so I may accept 1–2 extra **🧭The** **Creep** **Code** A refined social compass keeps the vibe safe, fun, and drama‑free. So: No married/Seperated individuals or those already coupled up (generally) No Tinder Swindler‑style minglers **Guys**: Please Take Special Note Must have a clear face photo (no sunglasses, no blurry shadows, no ā€œmysterious man in witness protectionā€) Don't send unsolicited messages, that's creep gold.. āš ļøDon't obscure your identity in other words. No wide shots taken from a distance where you can't be identified. No yacht/car/jet flexing — if your profile screams ā€œcrypto‑adjacentā€, you will be gently declined. If you are declined, update your profile photo to something less creepy and more classy **Girls**: No restrictions — privacy and safety firstā€ **āš ļø CRITICAL EXPECTATIONS** āš ļø šŸ‘» **No‑Shows** No‑shows block waitlisted people from attending and disrupt small-group events. ***Remove yourself at least 24 hours before the event, cancellations within 24 hour of the evevt when there is a waitlist will result in group removal People on the waitlist need more than 24 hours notice that they have been approved to attend.. Flaking within this time period prevents waitlist people from attending No‑shows will be removed from the group. *Last‑minute cancellations (ā€œflakingā€) may also result in group removal, especially when there is a waitlist. **šŸ‘€ Attending Without Being on the Going List** This is a security issue. Do NOT turn up unannounced. If you’re not on the Going list and haven’t arranged it with the organiser beforehand, you will be asked to leave. Event check‑ins are performed. ā° **Late** **Arrivals** If you’re late, the group will not wait. You willl be marked as a No‑Show and removed from the group. Messages will not be monitored after the event starts *It’s your responsibility to communicate and catch up before the evevt starts—this may not be possible for some events. **šŸŽ²Second** **Chances** If something goes wrong, communicate with the organiser. Silence + poor behaviour = removal. Communication + accountability = second chances. As the organiser is busy organising this may be impossible during the event. **🚩Disclaimer: No Liability & Organiser** **Indemnity** By participating in this event, you acknowledge and accept full personal responsibility for your own safety, wellbeing, and belongings. The organiser assumes no liability for injury, loss, or damage incurred during the activity. Participation is entirely at your own risk.
