**Hey climbing enthusiasts!** Looking for a fun and adventurous way to spend your Friday night? Join us for an exhilarating indoor rock climbing meetup! Jaden and Marvin will wait near the front desk for attendees to arrive. Please message us if you're going to be late. **What’s Happening:** * A welcoming and inclusive environment for climbers of all skill levels. * Bouldering: Show off those climbing skills or just flail around on the wall – both are equally entertaining. * Top Roping: Heights? Pffft. We laugh in the face of heights! We should have a couple of people certified on Belay including myself. * Wisdom from Wannabe Pros: Get tips from climbers who might know what they're talking about. No guarantees, though. * Social: an opportunity to make new friends who share a passion for climbing. * Dinner afterward is optional for those seeking extra social time. **Day pass is $30 if you're not a member —** but you *might* be able to get $10 off if you say you're climbing with Marvin's Meetup. **Just give us a heads-up beforehand so one of us can be at the front desk when you arrive. Gotta work the system properly 😎.** **👟 Pack List (or don’t, I’m not the boss of you):** * Comfortable athletic clothing. * Climbing shoes and Harness (or you can rent them at the gym). * Water bottle to stay hydrated. * Your adventurous self (non-negotiable) * Positive vibes and a sense of adventure! **Parking on the lot or streets.** **First Timers: The gym requires your signed waiver.** **[https://touchstoneclimbing.com/waiver/](https://touchstoneclimbing.com/waiver/)** **Here are two tutorial videos:** **[https://youtu.be/Gsbu5ENrCq8?si=kUf8y2ulEN9V18L6](https://youtu.be/Gsbu5ENrCq8?si=kUf8y2ulEN9V18L6)** **[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2v4brHpdxY&ab_channel=BoulderingBobat](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2v4brHpdxY&ab_channel=BoulderingBobat)** **Release of Liability:** The organizer (me) of this event is a volunteer and is not a professional guide. The function of the organizer is only to organize this event. Each person who signs up for this event is 100% responsible for his or her safety and the safety of his or her guests. **Quick Note:** If you’re planning to use Marvin for the day pass discount, just make sure to message Marvin ahead of time — He needs to be at the front desk for it to work!

Walk along Millionaire's Row & Back to the Future House in Pasadena

Walk along Millionaire's Row & Back to the Future House in Pasadena

Walk along Millionaire's Row in Pasadena, Wrigley Mansion, Suicide Bridge, Worldwide Church of God, Back to the Future House, etc. Walk is under 6 miles RT. Bring water and sneakers. During the first two decades of the 20th Century Pasadena became the home of millionaires (who probably would be billionaires in today’s dollars). Chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr., David B. Gamble, son of James Gamble, founder of Proctor and Gamble, and Adolphus Busch of Budweiser fame, were some of the wealthiest families in the country. Many of these upper-class residents lived on Orange Grove Blvd. which, due to this extreme affluence, was nicknamed ‘Millionaire’s Row’. As ‘Millionaire’s Row’ grew, with dozens of opulent mansions of eight or ten bedrooms lining the street, the need for hired help increased dramatically. Mary Gamble and Ada Wrigley were not going to wash dishes and clothes, nor prepare meals for their families. Those laborious tasks were given to domestic workers who lived in the residences of the rich in modest servants’ quarters. And they were paid low wages for the difficult and arduous work required to maintain these enormous estates. Wrigley House (Tournament of Rose Parade House) [https://tournamentofroses.com/house-tours/](https://tournamentofroses.com/house-tours/) Suicide Bridge 87 have committed suicide from this bridge: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Street_Bridge_](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Street_Bridge_)(Pasadena,_California) Back to the Future House (Gamble House) [https://movie-locations.com/movies/b/Back-To-The-Future.php](https://movie-locations.com/movies/b/Back-To-The-Future.php) Worldwide Church of God We will walk to see the scenic grounds of the church and the mansions there. Parking: Street parking After walk, people can go to Old Town Pasadena to get something to eat.

EMBRACE RECEIVING: A Cancer New Moon Community Manifestation Ritual

EMBRACE RECEIVING: A Cancer New Moon Community Manifestation Ritual

Wed, Jul 15, 2:00 AM
From New Moon Rituals by LA Immersion

[REGISTER HERE](https://luma.com/0k78r474): https://luma.com/0k78r474 **ABOUT THE EVENT** The Cancer parts of us have received gifts from Jupiter over the past year. These gifts may have been subtle, and we likely aren't yet embracing the abundance that has begun to flow into our lives (like waves steadily increasing the tide). Cancer can be so focused on self-protection that it puts walls up which keep out even the best things. This Mercury retrograde in Cancer is a perfect opportunity to reflect on how we're holding ourselves back from our greatest opportunities. Through ritual we'll re-align, set intentions, and open ourselves to the huge potential that awaits. New Moons are bursting with energetic potential we can harness through ritual. With the power of Moon magic, we regain agency in a world that feels increasingly out of our control. These rituals provide a framework for individual and collective change making. Everyone deserves access to the ancient practices humans have always followed to connect and to make shit happen. The rich and powerful know ritual magic works, and thus they've spent centuries trying to separate us from our ancestral divination tools. It's time to return to our origins, rediscover ourselves, and reclaim a future that has always been ours. **SLIDING SCALE TICKETS $15-$35** Tickets include drinks & snacks and a raffle ticket for a free New Moon tarot reading at the end of the event! Aria is a disabled, queer, Arab, full-time community organizer. This event is a one man show. Please support their work by paying as much as you can! However, this event is for everyone - so email [losangelesimmersion@gmail.com](https://mailto:losangelesimmersion@gmail.com/?utm_source=luma) if cost is a barrier to attending. Paid tickets are about an energy exchange, if you'd like to offer an alternative exchange to money you are welcome to. **ABOUT THE FACILITATOR** Aria (they/she/he) has been a facilitator for over 15 years. They bring a background in stage directing, young adult education, and community organizing to LA Immersion's Moon Ritual series. They've spent the past 5 years obsessively learning astrology, tarot, and magic and it has changed their life. They're called to merge their spirituality with their community work and hope these learnings can change others' lives too.
