Coffee and chat in Surry Hills: Make new friends in Sydney! (25-35yo)

Sat, Aug 1, 11:30 PM
From Surry Hills Social Locals' Coffee Club (ages 25 to 35)
4.8

Our simple concept: gather with a group of locals regularly to form friendships. Introducing the **Surry Hills Locals Coffee Club**, a regular meet-up for **people** **aged 25 to 35 living in Surry Hills** **and surrounding suburbs**. Our philosophy comes from the belief that the best opportunities for forming friendships emerge within group settings. Here’s what our meet-ups are about: * We keep things friendly by meeting in **small groups**, ensuring sure it's never overwhelming. * Our meet-ups are about an hour, with the opportunity to extend if you have time to spare. We play by three simple rules: 1. **Totally friendly** \- everyone should feel like they’re among friends\. Come with no expectations\, and leave excited for the next event\. 2. **No dating or selling** \- this space is purely for making friends and genuine connections\. 3. **Ages 25–35** \- to keep things feeling relatable\, meetups are for those within this age range\. If you have any questions, just drop a note in the event chat on the day – we’re happy to help and say hi before you arrive. We’re really looking forward to meeting you at our next coffee and welcoming you into the group.

You Are Not Alone: Estrangement Support Group

Sat, Aug 8, 12:00 AM
From You Are Not Alone: Estrangement Support Group

Our first event will be a relaxed and informal catch-up over coffee. It is simply an opportunity to meet others who understand how complicated and isolating family estrangement can be. There will be no pressure to tell your story or share anything you would prefer to keep private. You are welcome to talk, listen, enjoy a coffee and get to know the group at your own pace. This is a social peer-support gathering, not a therapy or counselling session. We ask everyone to respect each other’s privacy, boundaries and individual decisions. There is no expectation that members should reconcile with family or follow any particular path. Come as you are. The most important thing is knowing that you do not have to navigate this experience alone. There is a $10 deposit required this is just to gurantee attendance it will be refunded upon attendance or if you cancel by 5pm Thursday 30 July 2026. If I need to cancel due to low numbers or change this event it will be done on this platform. If you have any questions please text me on: 0435 002 698. As soon as a venue is sorted I will post it on this site if on the day you cannot find us or have any concerns once again please text me on: 0435 002 698

Offline Morning

Offline Morning

Sun, Aug 9, 12:30 AM
From OffMode
4.9

**A Sunday morning for the things you keep meaning to do.** **Offline Morning** is part of OffMode event series - slow social gatherings for people who want more from their free time than rushing, scrolling, and saying they’ll make time for their hobbies “soon.” The first part of the morning is yours. Read. Journal. Draw. Let your mind wander while enjoying your morning coffee. We’ll also have creative materials around the room so you can pick up something you’ve been meaning to return to. Then, the room opens. Games come out. Tables mix. Conversations start. The morning shifts from quiet solo time into warm, real-life energy. You might leave with a new friend, a calmer mind, a few pages read, a half-finished drawing, or just the rare feeling that your Sunday actually belonged to you. ## **How the morning unfolds:** **10:00am – 10:30am \| Arrive & get cosy** Lock your phone away and get cosy. **10:30am – 11:30am \| Connect with yourself** Read, journal, draw, write, think, relax, or do your own offline thing. **11:30am – 1:00pm \| Connect with others** This is where the morning shifts from quiet solo time into real-life connection. Think of conversations and games with people who also chose to spend their Sunday a little differently. **1:00pm – 1:30pm \| Wrap\-up** Get your phone back and enjoy the rest of your Sunday feeling a little more present and lighter.
